The UK Bridges Board (UKBB), the Bridge Owners Forum (BOF) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) have come together with CROSS to highlight the importance of precursor events, and encourage those in the bridges sector to report to CROSS-UK. Over the course of this month, we will look back at CROSS Safety Reports about the risks associated with bridges. The first Report, Corrosion concerns on a pedestrian bridge, was published in February 2023. 🌟 Project Update: Tackling the Challenges of a 35-45% Slope Excavation! 🌟 Exciting times at Sofos Civil Contractors as we dive into one of our most challenging and rewarding projects yet! We're thrilled to share a glimpse of our ongoing excavation job on a steep 35-45% drop. 🔨 Progress Update: ✅ Successfully removed over 70% of the bulk excavation from the site ✅ Commenced detailed work on the OSD (On-Site Detention) tank, visible in the lower part of the image ✅ Preparing for concrete encasement of the sewer, positioned centrally in the image (Blue dashed) ✅ Progressing on the pool, located just above the OSD tank We're honored to collaborate with one of Sydney's top #architects, who is not only leading the project management but also entrusted us with this project through a referral.
