👀Look Ma I was live on Youtube!☺️ 🚀Here is a summary of some new features and capabilities released from #Amazon #Monitron this past quarter and to get you jump start your #predictivemaintenance journey in 2024! ✅𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 If your asset types don't align with the default ISO machine classes offered by #AmazonMonitron, you can create custom machine classes for your assets. Once created, these custom classes are available to be assigned to all asset positions in a project. This the one that allow users to overcome the limitations of the non-AI ISO machine class alert system. You can now set arbitrary Warning and Alarm thresholds which will reduce nuisance alarms. Two new chips are coming out from the Amazon labs. The first is #Graviton4, the latest generation of Arm processor. Graviton4 has 50% more cores and 75% more memory bandwidth. This version of Graviton is based on the Demeter Neoverse V2 core. On the #AI front Amazon Web Services (AWS) also announced the next revision of their AI acceleration chip, #Trainium2. This update has a 4x performance increase from the first generation and allows for liquid cooling. Trainium2 is designed to be deployed in clusters of 16 chips. #Rundown #reInvent #AWS

I called it out it last month during #GoogleCloudNext, and here it is, today Google announced next Gen of Google’s Tensor Core Chips! Google still has a lot more chops for AI chips. Not everything is put out there. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 #𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘂𝗺, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗧𝗣𝗨. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: - Trillium TPUs has 4.7X increase in peak compute performance per chip compared to TPU v5e. - Doubled the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) capacity and bandwidth over TPU v5e. - Doubled the Interchip Interconnect (ICI) bandwidth over TPU v5e. - Trillium is equipped with third-generation SparseCore, a specialized accelerator for processing ultra-large embeddings common in advanced ranking and recommendation workloads. - Trillium TPUs are over 67% more energy-efficient than TPU v5e. m7i deep dive: TensorFlow Optimizations for AWS m7i/c7i instances Intel has done several optimizations in TensorFlow upstream. This talk will highlight how they work out-of-the-box on m7i/c7i instances in AWS which are powered by the 4th Intel Xeon Scalable Processor (codename Sapphire Rapids). It leverages Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX), the built-in AI accelerator engine in Intel Xeon Scalable processors.

Google has unveiled its latest in-house processors, nicknamed Axion, to tackle rising computing costs and enhance its capabilities in handling AI-related workloads. 📈These CPUs promise a 30% increase in performance compared to similar Arm-based chips for the cloud.
