Trust but verify. In a class on artifical intelligence, at University of Miami School of Law, AI case hallucinations is one of the recurring topics of conversation. Could AI replace lawyers? I'm betting that it won't be any time soon. AI is similar to the misconception that practice makes perfect. It only works if you or the AI keeps improving towards perfection. With notable alignment skewing, as with Gemini's recent racial bias fiasco, it is unlikely that AI variants will every agree on what constitutes proper alignment. Written law intends to be absolute; however, judges write opinions and that is relied on as if it were written law. Which is AI relying on more heavily? In my experience, it favors a "majority rules" outcome. It is reckless to rely solely upon mob justice or prevalent opinion. You should understand your own writing and be able to explain it.
