🎯Empowering High-Achieving Women to Build Powerhouse Businesses with Innovative Cultures, Making a Positive Impact on Communities Worldwide 🎤Speaker/Facilitator, 🎙Podcast Host

As I celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month for the remainder of October, I also want to observe National Mammography Day! Every year, on the third Friday of October, we are reminded about the importance of mammograms and breast cancer screening. Did you know that mammography has helped reduce breast cancer mortality in the US by nearly 40% since 1990 or that mammography screening cuts the risk of dying from breast cancer by about half (Source 1)? While alternative screening techniques have been discovered, such as breast tomosynthesis or 3D Mammography (Source 2), one thing is clear: early detection screening can save lives. Therefore, I encourage you to use today to do one or more of the following: ~Schedule your annual mammogram if you have not done so already, or remind loved ones to do the same. If you are looking for screening centers near you, consider using the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s database to search for mammogram facilities here: https://lnkd.in/gb87RevR. ~Raise awareness about today and the importance of mammograms. ~Donate to women in need to ensure they receive the care and screenings they deserve. You can do this when you donate to organizations like the National Breast Cancer Foundation: https://lnkd.in/gEMV4WKi. ~Learn how to perform a self-breast exam.
