Why hire engine cadets without sea time? Well, they're like maritime superheroes fresh out of the academic oven, armed with the latest knowledge and a knack for innovation. Think of them as your organizational Play-Doh – mold them according to your company's needs and watch them transform into versatile problem-solving machines. These cadets might lack sea legs, but they make up for it with an infectious enthusiasm to learn. They're like overenthusiastic puppies ready for on-the-job training – just point them in the right direction, and they'll fetch those skills faster than you can say "anchor." And let's not forget the diversity card – these cadets bring a smorgasbord of backgrounds to the maritime table. Embrace the variety, and you've got yourself a team that can tackle challenges with a flair that makes Monday mornings seem like a comedy show. In a nutshell, hiring engine cadets without sea time isn't just a recruitment choice; it's assembling a crew of maritime Avengers ready to conquer the seas and make your company the hero of the industry. #maritime #maritimeindustry #

Used boats are a fun little puzzle. Loads of spares laying around you don't know if you need or not, and nests of wires behind every hatch. Yachtero filters out the noise and keeps you focused on the critical path. With the ease of a few photos: - catalog your boat's equipment and systems - auto-retrieve manuals and guides - identify system schematics - manage projects and tasks - delegate to crew and service techs

Weather and yacht rigging; a tale as old as time. Weather plays a big role in the life and performance of yacht rigging. Here's the lowdown (and a huge reason you need regular professional rig inspections): - Sun Exposure: UV rays can be quite harsh, especially on synthetic ropes and fibres. Over time, this constant sunbathing weakens the material, causing it to degrade. It's like getting a sunburn, but for your rigging! - Saltwater: If your yacht is living the salt life, remember that saltwater can be a bit of a double-edged sword. It's great for buoyancy but not so much for metal components. Salt can corrode metals, leading to rigging components weakening over time. - Temperature Fluctuations: Both extreme heat and cold can affect the rigging. Heat can cause materials to expand and become more pliable, while cold can make them contract and become brittle. This constant dance of expanding and contracting can cause wear and tear. - Moisture and Humidity: Consistent exposure to moisture (like a good ol' sea spray) and high humidity can lead to mold and mildew, especially on ropes. This not only looks unappealing but can also weaken the rigging. - Wind: Strong winds put a lot of strain on the rigging. Over time, this can lead to metal fatigue in the wires and stress on ropes and connections. As well as inspections from your professional rigging team, to keep your rigging in shipshape, regular maintenance is key. This includes rinsing off saltwater, inspecting for wear and tear, and replacing parts as needed.
