This year’s theme for International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia is “no one left behind: equality, freedom and justice for all.” For us at Langara, this is a principle that is etched into the fabric of our learning practices. The Pride flag waves on our campus, rain or shine. It’s a reminder of our commitment to 2SLGBTQIA+ members, and a reminder that everyone belongs. As allies, here are a few things we can do today, and every day: - Learn about what 2SLGBTQIA+ means and how a person may identify. - Reflect on how you can help, even if it’s as small as asking for pronouns when you first meet someone - Be aware of when to take up space and listen Together, let’s uplift, and celebrate the richness of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and work towards a future where all individuals can thrive and love, free from fear and discrimination.
