23rd April : #WorldBookandCopyrightDay is a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world to recognize the scope of books – a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures. On this occasion, UNESCO and the international organizations representing the three major sectors of the book industry – publishers, booksellers and libraries, select the World Book Capital for a year to maintain, through its own initiatives, the impetus of the Day’s celebrations. As the #author and #Editor of 12 books (published and upcoming) with internationally renowned publishers such as #Elsevier, #Wiley, #Springer, and #CRCPress, I recognize the significance of World Book and Copyright Day on 23rd April 2024. This is regarding the contents, and cherish the reading moment, traditional or technicals. #Books are a form of #culturalexpression that lives through and as part of a chosen language. Each publication is created in a distinct language and is intended for a language-specific reading audience. A book is thus written, produced, exchanged, used and appreciated in a given linguistic and cultural setting. #WorldBookDay. #contents #writing #authors #Editors

Preorder FLOWERS FOR PAPA and SEASONS Now | Award-Winning Author | Mental Health & LGBTQIA+ Activist
“Nothing had made me sadder than imagining myself never seeing him again; and nothing had made me fall apart more than knowing he would be perfectly fine with that. “It may have been Papa’s blood coursing through my veins, but Dad and I always had one thing in common: We learned to say what we said but never what we meant.” —Flowers for Papa, page 117 Our parents are, inevitably, parts of us. One of the many central themes of the novel is the fate of human nature—the notion that we are simply the products of past loves and past crimes and past in its entirety—and human nurture—the faces of humans present, the ongoing and unfinished generation, and perhaps those who have yet to exist. One universal condition we all constantly grapple with is the knowledge that, while we are all our own people, we are also the miscellaneous pieces of every person we’ve ever met and every person we never will. We are the constructors and the demolishers of each other. #FlowersForPapa #Seasons #SeasonsAugustsCollection #PublicationDate #PubDate #Debut #DebutNovel #PoetryBook #Poetry #PoetryCollection #Published #PublishedAuthor #YA #YANovel #Thanksgiving #Thanksgiving2024 #November28 #November282024 #Author #PegasusPublishers #VanguardPress #ComingSoon #Preorder #Publication #BookProduction #BookCovers #BookArt #GraphicDesign #BookTrailer #Trailer #PreorderNow #Philosophy #Parents #Children #HumanNature #NatureVsNurture

Untapped Potential: Results from the Australian Literary Heritage Project Most Australian books ever written are now out-of-print and inaccessible to readers. That includes local histories and memoirs, beloved children’s titles – and even winners of our most glittering literary prizes, such as the Miles Franklin Literary Award. Untapped: The Australian Literary Heritage Project was a collaboration between IPRIA, researchers, authors, agents, key library organisations from all around Australia, the Australian Society of Authors and Ligature, led by Melbourne Law School’s Professor Rebecca Giblin. This report presents novel findings from Untapped: The Australian Literary Heritage Project. It reports on the relationship between library e-lending and ebook sales, and the impact of promotional activities undertaken by libraries on the circulation of ebooks. It also reports on the economic value of culturally important but previously out of print books, and the personal and economic value to authors of the ongoing dissemination of these works.
