Let's talk Olympics! 🤓 The logo for Paris 2024 combines three separate symbols – the gold medal, the flame and Marianne, the personification of the French Republic. Each of these symbols reflects a part of their identity and values. It is also the first time in history the same emblem has been used for both the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamanagement #digitalinsightsolutions #socialmediamanager #socialmediamarketing #olympics #gold

Have you seen Channel 4 ‘s promo ad for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games yet? Irreverent. Hard hitting. Compelling. At a little over 2 mins, “Considering What?" is the latest of their powerful campaigns that highlight these incredible athletes to challenge patronising attitudes and change perceptions about disability. Replacing its ‘Superhumans’ forerunner, this campaign challenges people to view Paralympians as elite, world-class athletes, not as competitors “overcoming” their disabilities. https://lnkd.in/eikxjzqQ Created by Channel 4’s multi-award-winning in-house agency, 4creative, the film captures the reactions of people as they watch Paralympic sport which, although well intentioned, are misguided and don’t appreciate Paralympians for what they are – world class athletes. Rather than showing the athletes “overcoming their disabilities”, the film depicts Paralympians taking on and overcoming forces such as gravity, friction and time – the impassionate elements and unchangeable forces of our world – that make no exception for any athlete, regardless of someone’s disability. A world-class concept worthy of the world-class sportsmen and women it showcases. Kudos to Channel 4 for their dedication to promoting the Paralympics and for the enthusiastic audience that it has successfully cultivated. Its coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games reached over 20 million viewers, which is a third of the UK population. Additionally, their innovative approach on social media garnered 4.1 million views on TikTok. #Paralympics #Inclusion #Diversity #Channel4 #Respect #GlobalCommunity

The use of tactile branding on clothing is so important for visually impaired tennis players as explained by Megan Hastings who competes regularly in the B1 category. "I'm really pleased with my Yonex t-shirt. It's a perfect fit, and I like its tactile branding. As I don't have any useful vision, being able to identify it by touch is important to me, and means I can easily find the t-shirt I want to wear on court. Most clothing brands don't think about tactile branding but it's actually really useful." #tennis #vitennis #visuallyimpaired #InclusiveSports #LetsTalkVISport #inclusivesport #blindawareness #lta #yonex #yonextennis #yonexuk

Sponsors of the Olympic and Paralympic Games have many strategic and tactical marketing decisions to make in order to be successful. But there is one crucial issue, often overlooked, that can help make or break a sponsorship plan: A positive and mutually beneficial “relationship” with the individuals representing the rights holding parties. In other words, if you’re a sponsor, treat the rights holder more as a “best customer” than as an adversary. Olympic and Paralympic sponsorship is a long game and there is always more gray area than black and white. ❌ Never saw that coming. Who would have thought to take a tennis court and turn it into... a chalice? 🍺 ➡ What if we reimagined the very essence of a tennis court? That's exactly what Stella Artois did, taking their 2023 sponsorship of major Grand Slam tournaments to the next level. 🔴 The Challenge: How do you create a #synergy between the world of premium #beer and the sport of #tennis, especially when one is known for clay courts and the other for a perfectly poured chalice? 🔵 The Solution: Leveraging the literal common ground - clay. Many elite #ATP tournaments are played on clay courts, the same material used in ceramics. This sparked an idea: ➡ why not create a unique #Stella Artois Chalice from the very same clay? ⚫ The Execution: During the 2024 ATP Chile Open and the iconic Roland-Garros tournament, Stella Artois gathered clay directly from the courts. Partnering with skilled ceramists, they handcrafted a limited edition series of ceramic Chalices, echoing the form of their iconic glassware. ➡ These weren't just for show. They became a coveted #prize, awarded to the player who achieved the "perfect serve" (ace) in each match, seamlessly blending the two worlds. ⭕ Cases like this prove that the potential for creative sponsorship is immense. And I think it's beautiful. --- Brand: Stella Artois ( AB InBev ) 🇧🇪 Agency: Draftline Andina

Indian shooting’s upward trajectory raises medal hopes for Paris 2024 The 21 medals at the Asian Games last year, including seven golds, were a sign that Indian shooting was on a steep upward climb after a lull of a few years. And it wasn’t a one-off. As many as 21 Olympic quotas, the highest that India has managed, has raised hopes. With the shooters doing consistently well in international competitions, the optimism isn’t unfounded. Yes, many will say shooting was built up in a big way ahead of Rio and Tokyo, and it all came crashing down as the pressure mounted on the young shooters. They are right to be a touch apprehensive. And yet, things are different. Mentally, the shooters are in a very good space, and with the introduction of sports science, things seem very different this time round. Pressure situations are being simulated in back rooms, and there is every reason to believe the team will be ready. Hopes have soared and the country is now expecting a really good showing at the Olympics in Paris in July. And if the shooters are mentored and nurtured well, there is no reason why this hope will remain unfulfilled. From not winning a medal at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to winning 21 medals at the Asian Games, the transformation in Indian shooting has been a fascinating story. While much can still be done, it is now a structured system, which has its heart in the right place. It allows for an able mix of experience and youth, and hence, a Manu Bhaker or an Esha Singh is accompanied by a team of coaches, sports-science and mental-health experts and other support staff. While the system isn’t perfect yet, it is good enough to empower India’s shooters to try and be perfect on an imperfect day, as Abhinav Bindra had always aspired to be. As part of our Paris 2024 build-up, we spoke to Esha Singh, one of the brightest shooters on the horizon. We talked to her and to Ronak Pandit, her coach, in our endeavour to understand how the preparations are going on. It is part of a series of exclusive interviews supported by Tata Steel, and plenty more such shows will follow in the coming weeks. The show will be aired on all RevSportz platforms at 12 noon.
