Founder at WagIt 🐾 Paws Through The Doors campaigner 👊 Queen of online bookings 👑 Worked at three exited companies 💪 Am I raising? Yes, a glass to life and investment (SEIS/EIS) from anyone who believes in WagIt!
If you think your venue is obviously dog-friendly, think again. I know a pub called the Dog and Duck that doesn't allow dogs. And believe me, no dog parent likes going somewhere assuming it’s dog-friendly. It’s like going to a steakhouse and assuming they have vegetarian options. The issue also extends to staff. Sometimes, they don’t know whether dogs are allowed. Remember when that popular pizza chain didn't allow a service dog? Or, you might have a bar area where dogs are welcome, but you don’t want to promote it because people might assume dogs are allowed throughout the entire venue. I spend so much time searching websites to see if they mention being dog-friendly or calling the venue... How old school! Who calls these days? And if I had left it to my non-dog-owning friends, I wouldn’t have taken Lola anywhere! So, make it clear that you’re dog-friendly. I may have a tip for you — join WagIt. We make it easy for you and your dog-owning customers. PS - I just googled to see if BrewDog in New York was dog-friendly since not many places are, and was pleasantly surprised. They’re sticking to their promise! #hospitality #restaurant #dogfriendly

How To Improve Public Perception: If you have a public catastrophe, for example your restaurant sickened a ton of locals, you want to minimize the problem while still acknowledging it. There are two ways to do this: 1. Show it's a rare event 2. Show its affecting a small amount of people 1) Show how it’s a rare event: You can do this by mentioning how long you’ve been around and comparing it to make the problem seem rare. 2) Show how it effects a small amount of people Similarly to making it a rare event, you want to compare the amount of people who’ve been fine, with the amount of people who’ve had a problem. Ex: For the past 20 years we’ve served chili dogs to tens of thousands of people in Florida, but recently one of our chili dogs sickened one person. This is completely unacceptable.

Fall is the perfect time for a get-together. For employers who are looking for ways to help their employees bond, fall events can be a great option. If you are looking for a way to encourage bonding among your employees, don’t miss these fall event ideas that are perfectly suitable for business teams. 1. A Pumpkin-Themed Workshop - as pumpkins make a firm fall, there are plenty of ways in which you can make them the center of the activity. Our favorite? A pumpkin decoration contest! 2. Fall cooking classes - This is the ideal time to have fun with cooking classes. Fall is the time when you can expect to see a lot of produce available for harvest. This includes items such as apples as well as squash and other vegetables. There are many fall cooking classes available that will have plenty of slots for dozens of guests. Many chefs may also offer private lessons. 3. Giving back to the community - Giving back to the community is one of the single most important things your company can do. Companies that give back to the community are rewarded with a better image. One of the best fall event ideas is to create a chance for employees to find ways to serve others. For example, employees can volunteer at food banks to help the needy get a meal for Thanksgiving. 💌[email protected] #VIBEagency #TeamBuildingEvents #CorporateTeam #FallEventIdeas #EventIdeas

I was out on my morning dog walk and bumped into Kelly Farrant from Pest-Tech Ltd getting ready for a long day of at the coal face of pest control…. and he had a packed lunch. Now, as I have access to the kitchen, I have the luxury of being able to throw together a salad or something made up from all the leftovers in the fridge but I really do miss a packed lunch! I love a picnic! I love packing little bits of yummy food into small containers to enjoy later in the day. I even have my own tiffin tin which I take to the local curry house for my takeaways - much to the amusement of the chefs there. Kelly's packed lunch reminds me when I was at school and my Mum used to make me and my brother a brown bread sandwich (from frozen sliced bread) .. usually liver sausage and cucumber, a monster munch and a yoghurt. Now we have carrot sticks, and cherry tomatoes, mini babybels, a array of crisp options and sandwich fillings and fancy cups and flasks. I am going to have to go down to Dragon Co-working now just to have the excuse to take my lunch with me... Hmmm... but then again, there's all the lovely coffees and food at No. 64 so that's not going to work! #packedlunch #fuelfortheday #businessdevelopment Looking to be inspired by people's lunches - what do you normally pack for your lunchtime picnic?

#FunFoodFactFriday On June 14, 1892, Nathan Handwerker was born. He was the founder of a small hot dog stand that became Nathan’s Famous. Handwerker immigrated to the United States from Poland with his family in 1912. One of his first jobs was slicing bread rolls for a restaurant in Coney Island. The restaurant, Feltman’s, served hot dogs for 10 cents each. Legend has it that two of the singing waiters at Feltman’s, Eddie Cantor and Jimmy Durante, talked Handwerker into opening a competing hot dog stand at 5 cents a frank. In 1916, Handwerker started a small stand with $300 in savings. His wife, Ida, created the hot dog recipe using her grandmother’s secret spice recipe. People initially were skeptical of the cheaper hot dogs, but Handwerker had an idea to fix that. He invited workers from the nearby Coney Island Hospital to eat for free as long as they wore their hospital uniforms to do so. The ploy worked. People perceived the new food as “healthy” when they saw healthcare workers eating them, and the business took off. The original Nathan’s Famous still stands at the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island and is open 365 days per year. The company now grosses over $100 million annually. Other Fun Facts: *** Handwerker termed his all-beef dogs “Kosher style” because they weren’t made from pork or other meats. However, the meat wasn’t technically rabbi-supervised Kosher. *** One of Nathan’s biggest promotions is their 4th of July hot dog eating contest, which began in 1972. It happens every year at the original Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island, and is even televised by ESPN. *** In 2017, Nathan’s Famous officially became the hot dog brand of Major League Baseball – the first time the MLB had named an official hot dog sponsor. #foodmanufacturing #cpgindustry #forhireresults #nowyouknow
