Five Years of Adventures at Protiviti: A Tale of Growth, Grit, and Gigabytes" As I pen down this note, a whirlwind of memories rushes by – from conquering complex challenges to celebrating small victories with an awesome team and its members. It's been a rollicking ride of five extraordinary years at Protiviti, filled with laughter, learning, and more presentations & spreadsheets than I ever imagined! From the jittery first day in an unknown world to now, confidently crafting strategies and crunching numbers, the journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Protiviti has been my launchpad for growth – professionally, mentally, and even my knack for making coffee has significantly improved! The camaraderie, the relentless pursuit of excellence, and the shared passion for problem-solving have made each day an adventure. The incredible mentors, the quirky office anecdotes, and the endless cups of tea have created an irreplaceable mosaic of memories. So here's a heartfelt thank you to each colleague who became a friend, every challenge that made me stronger, and every success that fueled my ambition. So this is the official farewell post. It is bittersweet to write that I have transitioned from #ernstandyoung after 3 of the most incredibly transformative years of my life. #veterans if you are serving or preparing to retire, CONSIDER consulting. I was discussing with Ron DeSilva a few days ago that I could never have had the opportunity to hone my skills anywhere else the way EY has enabled me to do so. At EY you can shape your career and not be worried about being pigeonholed into something you cannot train yourself out of. They give you the learning resources to upskill and pivot. At EY you can find your fastball. - I am always going to be transparent about my experience at EY. I truly loved my clients. I cannot think of one project where I did not learn something new, make a mistake or build a meaningful relationship. Clients reflect attitude. If you go to them with compassion, listen and bring positivity, the engagement will be great. - The reverse can also be true. I have seen consultants with "I know better because I am the consultant" approach and it NEVER ends well. People who have been consultants for a long period of time can suffer from this syndrome, especially at the level where driving to "Partner track" KPIs can sway focus from quality client relationships. This is not exclusive to EY by any stretch. In fact, I am pretty sure they are better than the other three Big Four firms. - EY allowed me to grow as a professional while supporting military veterans through the SOCOM Fellowship program, Veteran hiring round table, and military hiring events. I got paid while filling my cup. - Lastly, thank you to the amazing mentors, leaders and colleagues who are like family, especially Todd Papa. Hi everyone!! Today I m happy to share that I have completed 6 months in EY. Joining Big 4 is one of the dream come true for me. I used to wonder how people work in Big 4 and what makes Big 4 different from others. Now, I understood it's valuable because it doesn't only teaches you how to work. It forces you to figure out how you can work things out. Highlighting some of my key takeaways : 1. Be curious - Curiosity is indeed a powerful trait to cultivate, and asking questions can lead to a deeper understanding of your work. 2 Be observant - Being observant and paying attention to details can make a big difference in your daily tasks. 3. Communication skills- Communication skills are crucial in any role, and being able to express yourself clearly is key. 4. Interpersonal skills - Interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration and teamwork. 5. Patience - Patience is a virtue, especially during challenging moments. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my incredible team led by Vishal Budhia Vivek Agarwal Rishi Acharya. Your support and cooperation has made this journey enjoyable.

There are no Time in Rank or Time in Service requirements for promotion out here in the private sector Stop focusing on coming in at the highest level possible Because everything is At Will out here and they will cut your (4th point of contact) quickly if you don't know your job Focus on finding the right fit that will fill your knowledge + experience gaps And then once you do... 💥 BOOM 💥 It's like a launch pad to the higher level positions (and if your company won't do it...someone else will) #quinnsights I'd have been gone in about 12-15 months If I'd gone into EY as a Senior Manager right out of the Army The right level for (then SGM Quinn) would have been Manager But my year at ProSphere filled those gaps and enabled me to be successful at that Senior Manager role And then the 2+ years at EY gave me the additional knowledge, skills, experience and #relationships to launchpad to where I am today You got me?

My EY days..#Good #Managers are to be cherished. Organizations are made of good people..not of the few monsters only ..!!! It’s heartbreaking to see people blaming the entire culture of an organization for loss of a soul. Indeed there are always some scope of improvements all the time. Moreover it’s not the organizations it’s the people make a work culture liveable or hell. I proudly remember my EY days and the people I worked with, those smiling faces have given me the best memories of my life. In recent case I feel not raising the voice against the atrocities done my manager was equally tragic. Parents putting pressure for being employed in continuity can also not be written off. Youngsters joining high pressure sectors needs to be firm and clear about their employment. It’s not slavery to an individual, your life is not the right of your manager ..!!! Though getting a good manager and team is also a matter of fate but if you do not a get a good one you can always try making them better by giving feedback’s and raising against wrong done by them. I thank Venkatesh C from the core of my heart for being such a #superhero and making my #EY days as one the best days of life.
