Motion graphics means graphics in movement. It’s the most straightforward definition possible. Oftentimes, motion graphics is also called motion design, making the relationship between movement and design elements easier to understand. Motion graphics is about bringing design knowledge to new mediums by adding the elements of time and space — thereby creating movement. But bringing design elements to life isn’t a simple task. Unlike other animation fields, you don’t have a pre-defined or “natural” way of animating things or objects. For example, in a traditional cel animation (think Disney movies), you can use endless references from nature to animate a human figure or animal. But in motion design, there’s no natural reference to how shapes, typography, and grids move. For this reason, motion designers study all types of movements, accelerations, and speeds. By putting all those variables together, they can bring life to design elements in a way that’s more humanized and capable of connecting with viewers. On television, motion design is used in the opening of shows, as the video brand of the channel, and to introduce information with bumpers and lower-thirds. It’s also built into the forecast screen and in virtual backgrounds on the news. 9th DAY OF MY MOTION GRAPHIC JOURNEY I tried 4 different trendy techniques that can be useful in any motion graphics project. Creating motion graphics is a lot of fun but time consuming 'cause lot of repetitive effect has to be created. And those effect are really necessary. How this was made... Full gist below. 1. First of all, create a text later with the word "OLIBTO" them use "Position" with "Range Selector" and set it "Opacity" to 0 2. I created a stroke which I add "Zig Zag" to and using "Trim path" both start and end to animate it appearance and disapprance. 3. Another stroke was created but his time I add "Twist" which is the one that form a spiral spring form. The same trim path was added to it to animate it 4. The "+" effect was normal character on the keyboard. And just "Scale, Position and Opacity" were use to animate it. 5. Tracking was use at the end of the animation for the text. And That's it

Titled "A-CAES" (Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage), the Hydrostor energy plant is a proven proprietary technology that can cut carbon pollution at scale. Hatch Studios used state-of-the-art 3D animation combined with modern motion graphics to help deliver a detailed explainer video outlining the entire process from start to finish. The power plant 3D model was used to produced ultra-high resolution 2D schematic views for both the video and the website, producing a cleaner and more simplified overview of the plant's facilities. 3D animation was especially helpful for this project allowing Hatch Studios to highlight specific elements and freely navigate along the plant. A detailed set rendered in a heavily stylized design aesthetic created a unique and seldom-used modern animation style. Combining motion graphics with 3D produced a unique combination of both styles merged together seamlessly.
