𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝘼𝙄𝙇 “Innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Data are pivotal in the transition to Regenerative Agriculture. The plethora of Regen Ag practices can be confusing for farmers to uptake. These digital tools can help measure the benefits of the different practices and guide farmers in making better farming decisions.” — a perspective shared by Kar Yee Yap, Project Officer of the Accelerator Programme at the Singapore Agri-Food Innovation Lab (SAIL). Kar Yee oversees SAIL’s Accelerator Programme, tapping into Accelerators and Country Officers to identify the innovative Solution Providers from their cohorts that could potentially solve our Challenge Statements. She also manages the relationships with SAIL’s Affiliate Partner network, which includes knowledge partners, venture capitals, and non-profit organizations, who support and guide the development of our Solution Projects. Kar Yee holds a Master in Agricultural Sciences and is particularly interested in Regen Ag, which spans primarily across SAIL’s focus areas of Sustainability and Agri-Inputs. She is actively thinking of ways to integrate AgTech into the principles of Regen Ag, possibly making the positive outcomes more tangible to farmers. As Regen Ag is a trend that SAIL’s Corporate Partners are starting to take an interest in, she has high hopes that digital tools can further stimulate the transition to Regen Ag. If you’re interested in knowing about how to partner with SAIL, do get in touch to chat with us over coffee! “You cannot improve what you cannot measure” - Ⓜ️ Michele (Mike) Bandecchi, CEO and founder of SmartCloudFarming. Australia’s #agriculture industry is on track to be a A$100 bn industry by 2030, creating a perfect launchpad for UK businesses to connect, collaborate and scale in a diverse and rapidly growing market. Innovate UK is running a Global Business Innovation Program focused on Australia for UK based companies. The program includes attending AgriFutures evokeAG Conference in Perth, Western Australia, 20-21 February 2024. This visit builds on successful Programs run over the past few years which have seen UK companies collaborate, do business and some, like Deep Planet, also establish successful operations in Australia (see: https://lnkd.in/eb5Q5b6k). Suzie Hattersley from Innovate UK EDGE, who is running the program, shared: "The #Australian #agritech and food-tech sectors are booming, with more than 2,500 enterprises, including 488 agritech start-ups. The industry has an incredible culture of partnerships and collaboration, with 15 agritech incubators or accelerators to support innovation and investment. This program is for UK-based innovation-led company with ambitions to grow and internationalise; particualarly companies who are involved in driving resource use efficiency and productivity through the development of innovative solutions and new production systems for agritech." 🖊To learn more about the GIBP program content and eligibility, access Innovate UK's application form here: https://bit.ly/3PRTZFN - noting the deadline is no later than 5pm on 16 November 2023. 👓 Take a look at the evokeAG Conference program here: https://lnkd.in/epDdtx5K I attended evokeAG a few years ago and was bowled over by the number of connections and business opportunities which came from participating. Even if you're not considering the GIBP program, I'd thoroughly recommend international agtech and foodtech companies consider attending evokeAG if you want to see some of the best of what Australia has to offer. Thanks for sharing Suzie Hattersley. Please share with your networks folks!
