I love conferences. And I'm excited about organising my next conference in November: The Effective Statistician conference #3 This conference will differ from my first two conferences: bigger and more variability With every conference, I want to go one step further. The next conference will have both invited and contributed speakers. It will include presentations, workshops, and panel discussions. And it will cover the global time zones much better. And the conference will run over four full days. And most importantly, we will use a great networking tool that makes it very easy to talk to other participants. It is again a virtual conference, so it is very easy for you to take part in this conference. Despite this broad programme, I want to keep the conference affordable. Since organising conferences myself, I've been attending other events with a twofold goal: I want to hear relevant speakers on relevant topics AND also ... uncover the secrets behind what makes a truly exceptional conference. Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a conference on digitalisation in the health sector "Samarbeid om digitale helsetjenester" organized by NHO Geneo, and it was a great experience in more ways than one. The conference not only offered valuable insights into digital healthcare services but also exemplified the art of event organization. It's not just about securing top-notch speakers and relevant topics; it's about weaving them together into a captivating narrative. From the structured topics to the role of each speaker, every element played a part in creating a seamless and engaging experience for attendees. I was thoroughly impressed by the fantastic combination of topics and speakers, keeping the discussions interesting and relevant until the very end.
