The #1 reason your organic social media marketing is failing is because you are NOT actively talking to or connecting with your peeps.
Posting content, then sitting back silently and lurking is no longer an option if you want to market organically on social media.
And before you say, 'oh I can buy ads,' paid ads work BEST if you have already built an audience and community organically FIRST.
You've got to get the conversations with your people going.
And then you've got to keep it going.
So, how do you do it?
Here's my 5 top tips:
1. If you're in groups and communities - start showing up, sharing, talking, being a part of the community.
Groups are AMAZING for connecting with your ideal client because they are all in ONE place. But no one knows you're there if you're a wallflower.
2. Post consistent content on EVERY bit of real estate the social platform gives you - personal profile, company page, profiles.
3. Comment on other people's content.
Yep, you gotta be strategic about it.
4. Follow or send out connection requests to your peeps.
5. Show the F-up on your ideal client's content.
Yep, this one seems obvious - but how many of you do NOT include consistently commenting in your marketing strategy? And if you do, how many of you are actually doing it?
Add value by leaving a substantial comment. Be curious. Ask them questions. Talk to them. Make the effort to build the relationship.
P.S. How would it feel to let go of the pressure to sign up so many people and instead of 100's of cold randos who signed up for a free event from a paid ad, wouldn't it?
