My morning read… after more than 40 years hanging around boards I have lots of opinions. Lately I have been reflecting on what board members expect from their participation and what staff expect from their boards. How do Boards provide leadership to nonprofits? The CEO and Board Chair roles intersect around leadership. As always there seems to be a book for that. The authors suggest that we have focussed on the delineation between board and CEO roles and fiduciary duty to the detriment of understanding how leadership intersects with governance. Looking forward to digging in.
