It was a very energetic 1st day at the ALL IN Conference in Montreal. It was truly a pleasure to see how far the AI and technology ecosystem has come in Canada and Montreal over the past few years. I can definitely see a lot of research programs, non-profits, and government initiatives ensuring that Montreal and its businesses do not miss out on the AI wave. At Sedin Technologies, we are fortunate to be working closely with the clients and partners in this ecosystem. Check out some of our AI POCs that piqued the interest of the conference attendees: https://lnkd.in/esYDvZyq Tarka Labs RailsFactory Sedin Technologies datakulture

Supporting innovation for inclusion! We are proud to share that we are partnering with Inclusive Brains, a startup leveraging artificial intelligence to develop cutting-edge assistive solutions. Together we want to accelerate the development of Prometheus, an innovative brain-computer interface (BCI) that can use a range of neurophysiological data (including brainwaves, heartbeats, and facial expressions) for mental commands. The goal of Prometheus is to help people who can no longer use their hands or speak to operate connected objects and navigate digital environments, thus giving them more autonomy or the ability to communicate again and broadening their access to education and to the workforce. Prometheus is already advanced, and can be used to control an exoskeleton arm with one’s mind. We will bring financial, strategic and logistical support to address Prometheus’ R&D and material needs by acquiring physiological sensors and 2 exoskeleton arms. These equipment will then be donated to a non-profit organization supporting people with paralysis. We will also support Inclusive Brains in making the Prometheus AI model open source so everyone else involved in advancing inclusion can benefit from our partnership. Inclusion is one of our core values, and we believe in investing in innovation that supports this. Prometheus is the first step of a long journey, and many other concrete use cases are envisaged with Inclusive Brains. AI is a tool with the potential to create real change in the charity sector 🤖 However, our recent research revealed there are misconceptions about what AI is - and isn’t - with people often citing examples of bad technology such as frustrating supermarket self-checkouts. Understanding and overcoming these perceptions is important to harnessing AI's potential. So for charities, clear communication and education about AI can help to ensure that your community is informed, engaged, and supportive of these advancements.
