I am one of the Angel Investors in our Equitable Time Exchange Global GreenBiz WOMAN, the Wellness Oriented Mutual Aid Network. I am a Health Edutainer (retired RN)
To tell you the truth, the logo & nonprofit name is triggering for me. It reminds me of a Pac-Man and the web of very wealthy people with connections to universities & politicians that has been conning the taxpayers & SBDC entrepreneurs with yet another way to keep true US civil engagement from happening. Yet there are many people involved in these piecemeal engagement & empowerment that have much to teach…and things to learn. It is an ongoing enigma of why all those people are refraining from the civil engagement WITH the taxpayers and those who are too poor to pay taxes yet not too proud to beg or take any type of public assistance. Some are moved solidly into the workforce so they can become the frontline in-debt single parent workers kept from proper trauma-informed care for themselves & their children. I will believe the sincerity of these nonprofits & magnanimous wealthy people & their Alma mater networks when they publically let their employees, volunteers play the “Everyone Counts Game Show”. Their boards & C-suite will have to onboard AFTER they watch, listen to their first group play. They will not receive any commercial air time until the culture of their company has become employee co-lead and the “I-HELP” plans are validated by each employee & their families that they are properly respected and feel like home & work & community are safe places.

I want to connect and post a bit more on Linkedin going forward. A few happening: 1. I stepped into subbing at the local high school and middle schools and wish I would have started doing that 25 years ago. 2. I turned 50 this month and had a lot of guys over and heard from a lot of people via letters that my wife asked people to write. Encouraging. 3. STR's (short term rental) business is where I am putting time and capital and enjoying it. 4. People Bridge, our nonprofit, is thriving with gifted leaders leading a few nonprofits themselves. Our partnership with Work for Life with over 500 people trained weekly in entrepenurial basic job skills to provide for themselves is my favorite. 5. This is one of three groups of guys I meet with weekly and ask two questions, "How are you doing...really?" "What is God teaching you in the Bible and through life this week?" 6. Family and friends! A whole other category!

WHERE THE GOOD NEWS LIVES Lke many, the day to day drumbeat of national and global news which focuses on human tragedy, what’s broken, and what’s wrong, is exhausting or worse!!! However, this is not the whole story or perhaps even most of the story. Everyday 12.5 million people in the United States alone wake up and go to work in organizations which explicitly serve others and do their level best to improve the world! Consider the following: “The nonprofit sector is the 3rd largest workforce in the United States behind retail and manufacturing. In third quarter 2022, the nonprofit sector contributed an estimated $1.5 trillion to the U.S. economy. 5.7% of the United States GDP comes from the nonprofit sector. There are over 10 million nonprofit organizations around the world.” When I fear the world is hurtling out of control I try to remember and pray for the millions in churches, schools, social services, local governments, public safety, and education who more than we realize or acknowledge are the heroes of our human drama and the architects of our human destiny.
