King's Daughters Medical Center’s Post

Igniting young minds! Our UK King's Daughters team spent the day with students part of the Project IGNITE Summer STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Camp, opening the doors of knowledge and opportunities to fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders from Ashland. Students dove into a world where STEM education is power, uncovering a vast spectrum of career paths at UK King's Daughters. The day was filled with hands-on experiences in pharmacy, respiratory and wound care, alongside career talks and exciting virtual simulations.

The Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center was pleased to participate in this event by allowing students to do health careers simulations with our virtual reality headsets. Always thrilled to help promote health careers to our region’s young students.
