May is #strokemonth - taking a minute to remember our “why”. This is me & my grandpa in the early 1980s. He had a stroke soon after this picture was taken. Before IV lytics like tPA or TNK existed. Mechanical thrombectomy was not an option that even existed. Stroke care has come SO FAR!!! We change lives every day for people who present just like he did. I’m proud to be a part of the life changing #stroketeam at ChristianaCare & moving the field forward. #stroke
