Celebrating My One-Year Corporate Anniversary 🌟 Today, July 11th, 2024 marks an important milestone in my professional journey - my one-year anniversary in the corporate world. Reflecting on this past year, the biggest lesson I've learned is the importance of separating my personality from my work persona. As an introvert during my school and college days, I often struggled to actively participate and voice my thoughts. This wasn't a major issue back then. However, when I entered the professional world, I found it very challenging to work in a team. I've come to realize that in the professional realm, certain traits are expected of you, regardless of your natural inclinations. Embracing this understanding has been pivotal in helping me adapt, communicate more effectively, and become a true team player. I now recognize that business is a team sport, not a solo sport. Last week I celebrated my one year anniversary with Core Talent Pty Ltd and what an amazing first year it has been. As I look back on the past year, transitioning from managing a high volume Temp Desk in Education to now working on a fully Permanent Desk in Construction and Engineering, I'm compelled to highlight the striking differences between these two realms of recruitment... 🌏 🔄 Embracing Change: Transitioning from temp to perm recruitment has been a dynamic shift, filled with new challenges and opportunities. While temp roles provided a fast-paced environment with rapid turnover, moving to permanent has allowed me to delve deeper into relationships, understanding the long-term needs of both clients and candidates alike. 📈 Building Lasting Connections: One of the most rewarding aspects of this transition has been the ability to build long lasting connections. In temp recruitment, the focus was often on quick placements, but now, I have the privilege of truly understanding the goals and aspirations of individuals and matching them with companies where they can thrive long-term. 💼 Strategic Partnering: Shifting to permanent placement has enabled me to become a strategic partner for both clients and candidates. I now have the opportunity to collaborate closely with hiring managers, offering tailored solutions to meet their talent acquisition needs. Simultaneously, I'm able to guide candidates through every step of the hiring process, ensuring a seamless transition into their new roles. 🌱 Personal and Professional Growth: This transition has been a journey of growth, both personally and professionally. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone, allowing me to develop new skills and broaden my understanding of the recruitment landscape. Each day presents a new learning opportunity, and I'm excited to continue evolving in this ever-changing industry. I am filled with enthusiasm about my continued journey and growth within the business and of course continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of both clients and candidates, creating lasting connections that drive success for all parties involved. 💫

Today marks my 3rd work anniversary at Indicina. Transitioning from an onsite role to a remote-first company with a distributed team base is a switch. Time indeed flies when taking on exciting projects with meaningful impact. As the pioneer People lead, I built the process and structures from the ground up. Summing up my 36 months in 13 impact key impact areas: 🌟 Business partnering with stakeholders on people strategies. 🌟Overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process and hiring 62 quality talents and counting. 🌟Influencing our employer brand and Employee Net Promoter Score. 🌟Overseeing six performance cycles. 🌟Spearheaded the implementation of 2 HR software and designed workflows. 🌟 Creating policies and procedures to accommodate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). 🌟Leading initiatives to engage our employee base. 🌟Developing tailored employee benefits. 🌟Designed onboarding and offboarding workflows. 🌟Launched People newsletter to boost employee engagement. 🌟Initiating the first-ever onsite Job fair. 🌟Organizing training for both leadership and company-wide employees. 🌟Adoption of people analytics to drive our people strategy, name the report and we’ve got it 😅 . For those aspiring to join the People & Culture field in a startup, my threefold advice: (1) Find a founding team you genuinely believe in. (2) Be prepared to lead the changes you wish to see. (3)Own the research process. This makes our jobs so much easier. Shout out to the co-founders for trusting me to own the people and culture. To every team member who has acted as a culture ambassador. Here is to many milestones ahead !  

I appreciate all of your kind words on my work anniversary! Reaching a one-year, two-year, or longer milestone in one's profession is usually a significant accomplishment. Serving the organization to the utmost of our abilities using every skill we possess; if this produces fruitful outcomes, we will have effectively completed half of the task. After twelve years in your previous favorite fantasy firm, moving into a new dream job with all the flexibility you need to adjust and move forward is a blessing for every individual.   As a firm, Sasken is now on the mission towards a target of 60*4*3. Significant anniversaries can deserve more than just tokens; something memorable can show appreciation effectively. In recruitment, while money can be a major factor, genuine appreciation and acknowledgment of effort also matter.
