Be the change you wish to see. Spread love, kindness, and compassion. Help others, and watch your own heart fill with purpose and happiness. Serve, inspire, and be inspired.

Examine the dignity of your compassion. For compassion to be complete (and enhance the other six aspects of compassion) it must recognize and appreciate individual sovereignty. It should boost self-esteem and cultivate human dignity. Both your own dignity and the dignity of the one benefiting from your compassion. Is my compassion expressed in a dignified manner? Do I manifest and emphasize majesty in my compassion? Does it elicit dignity in others? Do I recognize the fact that when I experience compassion as dignified it will reflect reciprocally in the one who receives compassion? Exercise for the day: Rather than just giving them charity help them help themselves in a fashion that strengthens their dignity.

All our hearts are shattering as we watch so much violence and suffering around the world. We know that this can feel overwhelming, justifiably outraged and leave us feeling helpless and struggling with our own privilege. But we know that there is always something we can do when we come together. In a world of bombs, walls and borders, Love is the bridge keeping us connected to our shared humanity and each other. Love is power. Love is radical. We can always Choose Justice, Choose Solidarity and Choose Love. Here are some ideas of actions you can take: 📌Read up on the current crises and their historical roots. Talk to people about what you learn. Education is power. 📌Donate to Choose love and our local community based organisations (or donate to them directly!)  📌Write to your elected officials and demand the change you want to see in the world.

Obviously, we are living in bizarre times. in the midst of a genocide, we see met gala 2024 taking place like nothing is wrong in the world. When this is brought up people tend to ask, oh so should we stop living each time an adversity hit? Is this fair on us? No, you do not need to stop living just because something horrendous is taking place a thousand miles away from your home let alone to your neighbour or to yourself. You just need to be empathetic and focus on trying to stop such crimes from happening. Use platforms and your ability for the most required purposes with the power you have; Use such an event to bring heads together to donate collectively to those in dire need of it. The ticket to met gala is enough to feed so many. When you have so much money at your disposal to do anything you like, and still not choose to use it to help for humanity believe you me, you are not worth to be called a human being because one being a human makes not one a being for humans.

Everywhere I travel I see American Muslims solving problems, being generous, collaborating with others, volunteering, but those stories are largely unknown by mainstream philanthropic foundations, by grantmakers. But you can help change that, thanks to a crucial initiative led by Dilnaz Waraich at the WF fund and directed by Tamela Spicer called Inspired Generosity, which is collecting your stories. -To the free Muslim medical clinics, social service programs, entrepreneurs finding solutions, let's hear your stories. -To the everyday people inspired by their faith to do something kind, lets hear your stories. -To the creatives who reflect on compassion through their art, songs, photographs, videos, lets here your stories expressed through your work. Inspired Generosity will have both in-person exhibitions and digital platforms, inviting anyone to learn, but focusing on educating grantmakers. This initiative may not benefit my organization or your organization, but will collectively uplift our voices and amplify our goodness so we educate grant makers and serve humanity even more.
