Sr Training Specialist, Planned Parenthood | Union Organizer | Articulate Storyline, Python, Power BI | Transform Healthcare Training via Data Analysis
📢 Exciting News📢 We've secured our first union contract, with an overwhelming 99% of our union workers voting in favor of ratification! Our board of directors approved the contract last week, making us the first Planned Parenthood affiliate in California to achieve this milestone. Here’s what our new contract includes: - 15% wage increase over three years - Minimum wage raised to $23 per hour - Enhanced benefits and improved working conditions - Job security and layoff protections - A democratic structure for staff to have their voices heard These changes will protect both administrative and reproductive healthcare workers and their families, ensuring we can continue our critical mission for years to come. The disastrous Roe v. Wade decision has shown that we must leverage all strategies and pursue every political and economic avenue to defend reproductive and LGBTQIA+ rights. An organized collective of workers serves as an additional shield in this ongoing fight. This movement is just beginning. We are committed to continuing our efforts, organizing with other Planned Parenthood affiliates in California and nationwide, to further enhance workplace conditions and access to care. I am incredibly proud to work at Planned Parenthood and deeply appreciate our union workers and supportive allies in management who have made this victory possible. In this together! 💪🌟 #UnionStrong #PlannedParenthood #WorkersRights #ReproductiveRights #LGBTQIA #HealthcareHeroes #SEIUUHW For more information, see this article here: https://lnkd.in/d8KE4ynM

Can you believe that there has been zero progress on the disability pay gap in the last decade? 🤯 Trades Union Congress' (TUC) new research shows that non-disabled workers earn around 1/6 more than disabled workers. Disabled workers are more likely to be on zero-hours contracts. And if you’re disabled and a BME woman you’re 3X as likely as non-disabled white men to be on these insecure contracts. We’re calling for better rights for those on zero-hours contracts. Join us 👉https://lnkd.in/e7cNFf-w
