Launched in 2023 at #DISTRIBUTECH with nine founding members. Today, we have grown to 30+ members, and we have another 20+ on the waiting list ... Here at #CIGRE, we are showing what ABB has launched ... a new solution with #AI ... taking vPCA to the next level..." #SiemensTransform - "Harnessing data to map Smart Buildings", with Tal Rotman from Pointr. "We actually help companies and people to 'wayfind' inside the build environment... Our AI is actually taking data and understanding what that CAD drawing is actually saying, that a chair is a chair and a wall is a wall. Knowing that four walls and a door is a room ... actually it sounds intuitive to us, but actually teaching the machine to actually know what that is is hard to do... So doing that all automatically, using an artificial intelligence is incredibly powerful ... we can ingest massive amounts of data and actually produce those maps without any manual intervention. What we're really excited about now that we're integrated with #BuildingX is that, first of all, that map ingestion can happen within the Siemens Building X platform. You can actually upload all your floor plans and provide them via Siemens Building X to Pointr and then within less than a day, you'll have that map back and ready to go, and you can actually access all that data. The second part is building X is taking all those IoT data points from the sensors and the infrastructure. It's actually exposing it to Pointr, and then we can leverage that data and layer it over a map. Think about it like your homepage ... Your homepage for your built environment is actually the map ... then layering all that data, overlaid on the map is actually incredibly powerful." A glimpse inside Dassault Systèmes latest 3DEXPERIENCE Lab in #Paris Thanks to Ekaterina Bovkun, I got to visit their 'new' 3DExperiance Lab at their HQ yesterday afternoon. Now the 'lab' has been in existence for years. What's 'new' is that it's now been relocated to a brand new building, with a vast amount of space for #startups, with all the latest/greatest tech etc ... The photo below is simply from one corner of the start-up/partner presentation area. The start-up 'working' area is huge, with an impressive setup👍 Now for anyone in Paris on the 19th September afternoon/evening, then you can get to visit the lab for yourself, plus avail of the networking opportunities with start-ups, investors, and members of the #DassaultSystems leadership team.
