Half-time of the Siemens stage program at #HM24 under the motto "Go Digital, Become Sustainable". ⏱ Three of many highlights so far were singled out by Cedrik Neike, CEO Siemens Industry, and Tony Hemmelgarn, CEO Siemens Digital Industries Software, this year's booth captain: 1. Customer-centric focus 🎯 - In recent years, Siemens was used to have different booths for hardware and software at HANNOVER MESSE. This year, we experience one solution-oriented booth, targeting individual customer problems and addressing vertical-specific solutions. Focus has shifted from technology-centricity and product show-offs towards customer-centricity and customer journey optimization. 2. Sustainability takes center stage 🌳 - Customers are demanding it, capital is flowing towards it, and reporting and compliance commitments are being made. Sustainability has become a major driver in the industry and is part of every element of this year's show. It's time for companies to become sustainable Digital Enterprises by combining the real and digital worlds, leveraging insights from holistic data flows across the entire value chain. 3. Scaling and democratizing AI 💻 - Generative AI is accelerating Digital Transformation even faster and is transforming industry. Scaling AI presents a key challenge, though. Therefore, Siemens aims to make it accessible to everyone by rolling out the first GenAI-powered product for engineering in an industrial environment. The 'Industrial Copilot' revolutionizes human-machine collaboration by enabling people to enhance efficiency and speed up processes. It accelerates the generation of complex automation code, reduces development times, and increases productivity. #DigitalEnterpise: #Sustainability “... a holistic sustainability approach means for us ... we are looking at the people, we are looking at the processes and infrastructure, and we are looking at our products. So the idea is, well-being of our people, attractiveness of our working environment, as well as energy saving along process and time savings ... So, “Do more with less." When it comes to #PowerElectronics ... “What we found out was that if we want to become more competitive, if we want to get our unique selling points, Then we need to integrate the whole value chain. And this is why we reintegrated the power units to the Siemens value chain. We started with #simulation ... we build up digital twins ... we also built up #DigitalTwin's for our clean room ... to optimise processes in the clean room. What we get with that, is we can really reduce the size of our products by up to 50%. We can reduce the weight and the material by up to 40%. And with our digital twins, we are also able to optimise very fast our processes, that means the yield is increasing incredibly in short term ... and we can reduce material demand ... Do more with less." Bringing #HighTech #Manufacturing back to #Germany. "What we learned also in the factory, not only in the clean room, but also along our factory process ... is that we are able to automize, as well as digitalize, also let's say, Small and Medium-sized companies and environment. We have, of course, lines with high quantities, but we have also lines with niche product. And what we see is that a digital twin & AI, in the process makes also sense in this niche product ... and this could be interesting for #SME's." What’s next? “ ... what I'm really keen on now, is the influence of #AI to our processes and to the design of our products.
