A couple of weeks ago I, together with an incredible partner in crime Eliška Hrbáčová, had the privilege of planning and leading MSD Sverige country day as a part of the Nordic & Baltic Conference in Copenhagen. 🇩🇰 It was a conference that brought a lot of light onto several important topics that will help us as an organization, leverage the strengths of cross-market collaboration to extract the most value out of us - so we can best serve all individuals and patients in need. 🌱 Together we created workshops and exercises on: how we can improve the way we give and receive feedback - how to challenge unconscious bias in our work towards an even better inclusive workplace - and finally learning wellness habits from each other to inspire new ways of finding a work/life balance.💡 Im so happy and appreciative to have co-lead this day and to see the team’s full engagement and commitment in wanting to learn and improve was truly rewarding. 🌟
Kick-off in Copenhagen! A few weeks ago we kicked off the autumn term by getting together with all our Nordic and Baltic colleagues in Copenhagen for a cluster conference! We spent three days deep-diving into all things MSD - our values and our promise to serve patients and customers. There is so much we can share and learn from each other across the Nordics and Baltics and we´re very happy and privileged to be able to meet in person to discuss how best to work together to improve the lives of patients in our region. We also welcomed our SVP Chief Talent & Strategy Officer, Beth Perrone, who gave an inspiring and eye-opening speech about leadership and development. Lastly, we concluded the week with a country day where our Swedish team focused on the gift of feedback, delivering impact, and practicing inclusion in the workplace. We are geared up and ready to go for the last 3 months of the year!

🌟 Diversity in Thought Leads to Innovation 🌟 One of my favorite stories about innovation is the creation of Flamin' Hot Cheetos.🔥 It's a tale that perfectly illustrates how diverse ideas can spark extraordinary breakthroughs. Picture this: Richard Montañez, a janitor at Frito-Lay, noticed a batch of plain Cheetos rolling off the assembly line due to a broken machine. Instead of seeing waste, he saw an opportunity. Drawing from his heritage and inspired by the street vendors in his neighborhood, he took those plain Cheetos home and added chili powder. 🌶 Excited by his creation, Montañez decided to pitch his idea to Frito-Lay’s CEO. After an intense two weeks of preparation, he presented his Flamin' Hot Cheetos idea to the company executives. The rest, as they say, is history. Not only did Flamin' Hot Cheetos become a massive hit, but Montañez's boldness and unique perspective also propelled him up the corporate ladder. 💫 This story is a powerful reminder that when we embrace diverse viewpoints and encourage every voice within our organizations, we unlock immense creativity and potential.
