🛬 From Cannes to Cali: Talking business at some of the most beautiful places in the world. I just arrived in San Francisco at our Meta headquarters - always great to be here! Among other things, I’m looking forward to talking with Zalando CEO Robert Gentz about all things commerce and AI. Earlier, we already took the chance to talk about our key take-aways for businesses and advertising from Cannes last week: ☝️Putting social first: There is no better way to reach people and get them to actively engage with you. Social media cannot just be your secondary use - it needs to be the priority. ⏱️ That also means: Be agile – or the trend is gone before you can hop on. Therefore, review processes have to be fast and simple. 💡Attention game: Especially with reels, you’re continuously vying for the viewers’ attention. A catchy intro is great but you need to keep giving the viewers’ reasons to keep watching. Cannes was great! Next to these insights (you can find more in the comments), I am thankful for the great people that I got to reconnect with and talk to, such as Will Rolls und Laia Abellán Ponce de León. Now I am excited for the week ahead! I always leave California and our HQ feeling inspired!
