Influenza viruses cause a globally 3-5 million cases of severe illness and up to 650,000 deaths annually (WHO, CDC). With the high mutation rate and constant evolution of flu viruses, current flu vaccines are seasonal with effectiveness of about 40-60%. In this Wednesday’s webinar, Dr. Adrian Creanga, from the NIH/NIAID Vaccines Research Centre, will present how to characterize antibody-virus interactions and to screen broader neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs).
