On the last day of 2024, I chose to spend it delivering meals in our borough of Queens with my six year old daughter. It wasn’t an easy year, but I have always found that, when you don’t know what to do, do something for someone else. I’m so lucky that my job allows me to help HSBC and our employees to do so and I want to make sure that my daughter starts to feel the same about volunteering that we do. Huge thanks to The Connected Chef in Long Island City for trusting us with the deliveries!
Well done Kelly Fisher (she/her)
Awesome. I can’t believe how big she has gotten! So sweet.
Awesome 👏 We can work together, if you are interested. Take a look at Ribbon for Humanity, our nonprofit that allows kids to earn volunteer service hours that qualify them for Presidential Volunteer Service awards. www.ribbonforhumanity.org
This is priceless! What a wonderful example!
There’s so much we can do—big and small—to make a difference in our communities. I love that you’re instilling this in your daughter! (And I can’t say enough good things about The Connected Chef—they are the absolute best and living around the corner from their farm stand is one of my great joys!)
What an inspiration of paying it forward and showing all of us that even a wonderful little child can have such compassion to give to those in need. Thank you for the post Kelly.🧡
Truly inspiring - thank you for sharing this!
A lovely way to round off the year, whilst teaching your little girl about the beautiful gift of volunteering. Well done Kelly!
Such a great way to spend time with your daughter. I can’t beleive how grown up she is! Beautiful
