Cancers are commonly classified according to the organs they involve. With more insights into the #molecular #drivers of #cancer though, we are beginning to appreciate a high degree of similarity between different cancers based on their mutation profiles or the #pathways affected. An aspect that also suggests common #treatment strategies.
