Have eDiscovery, InfoGov or digital forensics questions?
Need some workflow or process advise?
Logical operators.
These are a searches best friends.
AND - when you want both things together
OR - for when you want either
NOT when you want anything but that
Stitching them together opens up options and complexity
NOT OR - neither [A] or [B]
NOT AND - Doesn't contain [A] and [B] together NOT(A AND B)
Moving the grouping make even more combinations.
((NOT A)AND B) OR C - Would Contain B OR C but not A and B together
There are also so more that can be used depending on context
Greater Than, Less Than, Equal To, Between and combinations for numerical fields/data
Before, After, for dates
Similar to, Like, Not like, for various text strings
