Exit interviews are very interesting to say the least.... Personally, I think they are a very valuable practice to implement at every organization. It gives you the opportunity to truly get unfiltered feedback from an exiting employee. Usually, a resignation letter does not get into the nitty gritty of what pushed an employee to resign, so conducting a 1 on 1 exit interview gives you the ability to really see inside what the employee's experience was like. Then, it's on the employer to analyze that data and implement changes where need be.

Exit interviews are valuable and provide a lot of good insights. Hopefully people leaving an organization feel comfortable being honest during their exit interview.
