Delivering Human-Centric AI Governance Experiences & Strategies | Data Science & Machine Learning | Product Management | Marketing | Cybersecurity | Business Development | AI For Good

🍒 The cherry on top to close this week full of fascinating webinars! When I first heard about a talk on ISO 42001, my reaction was: "Another ISO management system ? Who understand those things ? Why make things so complicated ?" 🙈 But yesterday, during the #TrustMasters monthly webinar with Kim Lucy from Microsoft and Shea Brown from BABL-AI, everything clicked. 💡 ➡️ ISO 42001 serves as a universal crosswalk between different emerging AI regulations worldwide. Like your global AI compliance passport : implement it well and you're better off to comply with various regional requirements, from the EU AI Act to other emerging regulations. 🎯 As Kim Lucy perfectly put it: "The real benefit is that organizations who implement management systems, no matter what type, no matter what industry they're in, no matter where they're at in the world, are getting the benefits of having this common framework in place." 🚀 And Shea Brown on how proper governance actually accelerates innovation. Introducing the concept of "moving slow to move fast": sometimes we need to build solid foundations to accelerate later. Key take-aways : ✅ ISO 42001 is an investment in speed: a robust system lets you innovate faster ✅ if you have ISO 27001, you're halfway there ✅ Companies starting now will have a competitive advantage in 2025 ✅ One framework to bridge multiple international regulatory requirements 🌍 Is your company considering ISO 42001? then go to Patrick Sullivan who was a great moderator for this talk. The correct way to reference AIMS is “ISO/IEC 42001”.
