Take time to read! 💡 History is Philosophy. Plato's #allegory of the #cave In a cave, #people who have spent their lives facing back to the light coming from outside, see only the shadows of animals, people and objects in front of them. These shadows are the only #reality for these people who have never seen their true form. One day, one of the people living in the cave is suddenly released. He #encounters the #world outside the cave. The eyes of this person, who are completely acquainted with the light, that is, the #truth, experience almost blindness. Over time, he begins to realize that the shadows that he thought were real until now are not real and are just #dark #reflections of the truth. Realizing the truth of #life, this person returns to the cave and tries to explain to other people that the shadows are fake and the real truth is #outside. However, these people, who have never seen the outside, cannot #comprehend what is being said and they #protest angrily... #Plato wanted to exemplify the inability of the philosophers, who had begun to understand something in the cave allegory, that is, the analogy, to the public. This #metaphor is still valid in today's world and #order. Because people accept what they can understand and do not #accept what is told beyond their own understanding. That's why those who tell the truth are somehow suppressed in #society. It is disturbing to see the truth in the light and to hear the truth. That's why the mind chooses darkness and bondage. #Ignorance is #bliss. It takes #courage to face the truth and be #free. I wish everyone to be #brave enough to get out of the cave #one #day.. When two men came to King Solomon, each claiming to have invented a remarkable ring that could make the sad joyful and the joyful sad, Solomon's response was as insightful as it was simple. He declared that the true magic of the ring was its ability to remind its bearer of the impermanence of their current state: that joy would pass in times of sorrow, and sorrow would fade in times of joy. This story, though ancient, carries a profound message relevant to our modern professional lives. It reminds us that our circumstances, whether challenging or favorable, are temporary. The wisdom lies in maintaining our equilibrium, not getting too disheartened by failures, nor too carried away by success. It teaches us the value of perspective, encouraging us to remain steady in the face of fluctuating fortunes. As we navigate through our week, let's carry with us the wisdom of the ring. Let it remind us to stay grounded, to look beyond the present moment, and to approach our decisions with a balanced perspective. Here's to a week filled with wise decisions and insightful reflections! #WisdomWednesday #Perspective #DecisionMaking #AncientWisdom

Life Rules of Arthur Schopenhauer, the Notable 19th Century German Philosopher. 1. Avoid the chaos created by fools. 2. Do not listen to those who speak louder than others, listen to those who are wiser. 3. If you decide to be like others, you will lose three quarters of yourself. 4. Obsession with desires means suffering. 5. The limit of your knowledge is not the limit of the real world. 6. Achieving material goals cannot quench thirst; it only fuels it. 7. Most people are only capable of obeying authority, not reason. 8. Fate deals the cards, and we play them. 9. You may think that you do only what you want. Yes, but often your desires are not under your control. 10. Preaching morality is easy; it's hard to justify its practical use to someone living in the real world. #schopenhauer #philosophy #liferules #wisdom #selfimprovement

"I am indeed a king because I know how to rule myself" encapsulates the profound truth of self-mastery. This statement embodies the essence of personal sovereignty and inner authority. To be a king of oneself is to possess the wisdom, discipline, and self-awareness necessary to govern one's thoughts, emotions, and actions with integrity and purpose. True kingship begins from within, where one navigates the complexities of their own psyche, mastering their fears, doubts, and desires. It requires the ability to make conscious choices aligned with one's values and aspirations, rather than succumbing to the whims of impulse or external influences. By mastering oneself, one cultivates the power to lead a life of purpose, authenticity, and fulfillment. This mastery extends beyond mere self-control; it encompasses the capacity to inspire, uplift, and positively influence others through exemplary behavior and noble character. In essence, to proclaim oneself a king of self is to acknowledge the journey of self-discovery and growth, recognizing that true power emanates from inner harmony and self-governance. It is a declaration of sovereignty over one's destiny, a testament to the transformative potential inherent within every individual who dares to embark on the path of self-mastery. #iamking #king #selfcare #selfconfidence #selfmastery #knowyourself #freeconsultation #swenservices #businesscoach

Light in the darkness... Paul cautioned the believers in Corinth, "Therefore do not go on passing judgement before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts; and then each man's praise will come to him from God" (1 Cor 4:5). In his second letter to the Corinthians, Paul reminded them to beware of "false apostles" and "deceitful workers" whose disguise and deception came from evil often MASQUERADING AS LIGHT. "No wonder, for EVEN SATAN DISGUISES himself as an angel of light" (2 Cor 11:14) To spot and discern evil can sometimes be complicated, but for someone grounded in God's Word, light will expose the darkness. "This book of law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your prosperous, and then you will have success" (Josh. 1:8). PART 5 will [wɪl] verb 1. expressing the future tense 2. expressing inevitable events: Similar and Opposite Words noun the faculty by which a person decides on and initiates action: determination; will power; resoluteness; purposefulness a deliberate or fixed desire or intention: desire; wish; preference; intention
