😓 You LOST. You FAILED. Don't try again... yet. Tuesday, I wrote about doing what it takes to win, pointing to my favorite team, the Atlanta Braves. However, last night, they lost. Playoffs done. World Series hopes dashed. I can only imagine what the players are feeling. I bet you've felt similar disappointment in your own life. I know I have! Prevailing wisdom often tells us that if we fail or fall down, we should "get up and try again." However, I believe this belief overlooks three crucial steps: 1. Stop and Take a Breath: You are still alive. You can choose to move forward. Take the time to gain perspective and realize that the world isn’t ending. This moment of reflection is essential for clarity. 2. Analyze and Understand: Look closely at what happened. Where did the failure occur? What can be improved? An honest, candid assessment of the situation is key to growth. 3. Practice with Purpose: Take those insights and apply them through deliberate practice. Don’t just charge ahead with a new idea, hoping for perfection on the first try. Instead, refine your approach, learn, and improve. THEN, try again, but this time, with more experience, knowledge, and finer-tuned skills. The true path to success is not in repeating the same actions but in learning, adapting, and growing from every loss. 👇 Would love to hear how you recover and grow from a loss in the comments.

The Braves will recover when their MVP, Cy-Young candidate Ace and 100 RBI 3B are back healthy next season. Hard to persevere with losses like that!
