Learning more about Logan's hockey journey from Jr. B to pro hockey in the SPHL was amazing. That's why we thought it was important to pass on that information, as he had some great advice for young athletes.
-The Game is 90% mental and confidence is key.
-Don't try to pass up the good plays for a great play, as time and space become increasingly limited.
-Your hockey journey won't be linear.

THE ETERNAL BATTLE FOR PROPER PPE.
PPE = Personal Protective Equipment.
Yes, neck guards, but I see a lot of kids wearing neck-unguard.
Like a flimsy hump that will redirect the blade above or below, in a still vulnerable zone.
The ones designed for goalies are the ones that make the most sense to me
(I have one son who is a goaltender).
While we are on the subject, when will we see the full face protection in the pros?
What is the deterrent for those two protective devices?
Do football players remove part of their helmet combo as they grow older?
I played hockey in the NCAA in the 80's and it was already enforced (face shield).
For woman's hockey, why don't they remove it when they reach their recently formed pro league?
It all started with Jacques Plante, being called a wimp for wanting to wear a mask.
Then came the helmet, cognitive players being harassed.
Followed by the famous Don Cherry:
"Ah them Swedes with their visors".
So tell me, what is the real reason some people don't want to wear PPE?
(Personal Protective Equipment).
Remember how Connor Bedard was on top of the world EVEN when wearing full face protection.
Any reduction in performance?
Seemingly not.
How so?
He was underage (not yet 18) at the World Junior Championship, and that's an IIHF law.
(International Ice Hockey Federation).
But he played without it in the CHL (Canadian Hockey League) before and after the tournament.
Hilarious, and so arbitrary.
Seems humans become indestructible once they reach 18 years of age!

Neck protection in hockey - YES ✅ or NO ❌ ?
💥 I say an unfortunate need because it has taken a long time and too many tragedies for leagues and governing bodies (besides Hockey Canada and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) to name a few) to take a serious look at mandating neck protection for their players.
➡ There have been too many injuries to count over the years about cuts to various parts of the body from skate blades with ones cutting the neck sticking in our minds and with the most recent Adam Johnson incident that has garnered world headlines. 🕯
