Hey there, I have a funny story to share. Have you ever noticed how women have good representation in the Big 4 accounting firms right out of college? They're a little over 50%! And they stay strong until the Senior Associate level. But then, things start to turn. They drop to about 35% at the Manager level, 30% at Senior Manager, and then, whoosh! Down to a mere 20% at Managing Director and Partner level. Now, isn't that peculiar? I think I cracked the code on this one, though. It's all about bringing in the big bucks- the revenue! We're not taught to go after it, to hunt it down. That's the missing puzzle piece. I decided to do something about it. I realized that we needed to unlearn a few things and teach ourselves to be hunters. Good work is great, but it's not going to take us to the next level. We need to learn how to secure deals and increase revenue. And you know what? I can help you. Imagine walking into your office, after clinching that big deal, feeling the power of achievement, and seeing the respect in your colleagues' eyes. That can be you! So, let's change the game, shall we? Let's show them what we're capable of. Together, we can rewrite the next chapters of our stories and set new benchmarks for success. Are you with me? #WomenInLeadership #ChangeTheGame #RevenueCatalyst #WomenRevenue #ZBAgency #Womenrainmakers

A special thanks to Wendy Diamond and her USA Family Enterprise team for pulling together this report. Only 24% of the current generation and 13% of the next generation in family businesses strongly agree that the business would continue to run smoothly if an important family employee left, retired, or passed away. Deloitte Private’s “The Enduring Family Business” survey, highlights differing perceptions in terms of leadership, risks, and decision-making. Risks such as hiring and retaining employees, climate change impact, and capital structure are more concerning for the current generation, possibly due to their more extensive experience within the business. Check out the complete report for more details on how generational differences are impacting family businesses when it comes to future directions, technologies, and more. #familybusiness #successionplanning #riskmanagement

"Grandparents are the family's greatest treasure, the foundation of a loving family, and the greatest storytellers." - Jess Lair 👵👴 This Sunday marks Grandparents Day, a special time to honor the elder mentors and role models who have shaped our lives. And in the workplace, we have the privilege of collaborating with our own professional "grandparents" - the experienced, seasoned veterans who bring a wealth of knowledge, perspective, and wisdom to our teams. As we celebrate the contributions of grandparents everywhere, let's also recognize the immense value that multigenerational collaboration brings to our organizations. According to a study by Deloitte, diverse age groups on teams can boost innovation by 45% and productivity by 22%. Think about it - our youngest colleagues offer fresh ideas and digital fluency, while veteran team members provide historical context, strategic foresight, and time-tested problem-solving skills. When these complementary strengths come together, the results can be truly transformative. This week, carve out time to pick the brain of an experienced coworker you admire. Ask about the key lessons they've learned over their careers, the challenges they've overcome, or the advice they'd share with their younger selves. You might be surprised by the inspiration and insights you uncover. Likewise, find opportunities for our "digital natives" to share their technical expertise and innovative mindset with tenured teammates. Mutual mentorship that transcends age can breathe new life into our workflows and reignite passion for the work. As we honor our grandparents' legacies, let's also celebrate the richness that arises when we leverage the diverse talents of all generations. Share your favorite multigenerational team memories or "grandparent wisdom" using #GrandparentsDay After all, the most dynamic, future-proof organizations are those that deliberately blend experience and exuberance - just like a loving, close-knit family.

https://lnkd.in/eiX7b-59 Last week's New York Times article explains the changing DEI landscape and its impact on American companies. As many of us know, DEI is under attack politically, as more than 20 states passed laws last year countering D.E.I. initiatives. What we know is that this is forcing business leaders to approach D.E.I. initiatives in a more subtle and nuanced way, while others are doubling down on more direct efforts. There is good news though. Only 1 percent of those surveyed reported a significant decrease in their efforts. More so, many companies are reacting to the changing landscape with a reinvigorated attention to D.E.I. initiatives. This matches our client experience where we see DEI becoming more prominent and integrated within and across all HR and Business priorities from diverse hiring to supplier diversity to customer engagement strategies. As the CEO of a Human Capital and DEI consultancy, I stand with the companies 'doubling down' during this precarious time. We at Impact know the importance of making a case for diversity, equity, and inclusion for our clients. If you'd like to learn more about the value of DEI for your company, feel free to reach out to us at www.impactconsultingus.com or email [email protected]. #diversity #dei #inclusiveleadership

One year ago today I was a casualty of a corporate selloff, a decision that would turn my world upside down and put serious self-doubt at the forefront of my thinking. As I reflect on the events of the past year following an unexpected shift in my professional landscape, I am struck by a profound truth: adversity is not merely an obstacle, but a gateway to personal growth and professional refinement. The initial dismay at witnessing the company’s disregard for the well-being of its employees, particularly those on maternity leave and those with health concerns, and ones of a certain age, was palpable. Yet, it was this very challenge that catalyzed a period of introspective growth and heightened advocacy for workplace justice. The failure to uphold commitments on severance and bonuses was disheartening, yet it illuminated the undeniable importance of transparency and integrity in business. It was a powerful lesson in the collective strength of employees and the necessity of holding ownership accountable. This adversity has become a crucible for refining my understanding of ethical leadership and the irreplaceable value of a diverse and inclusive work environment. The insights gained have been incisive, revealing the pressing need for a culture that truly embraces diversity and actively dismantles implicit biases. This journey has been transformative, underscoring my commitment to championing an inclusive and equitable workplace. Looking back, this year has not simply been a series of professional setbacks, but a pivotal chapter in my career. Through the lens of adversity, I have gained a clearer vision of the leader I aspire to be—one who leads with empathy, champions fairness, and is unwavering in the pursuit of a dignified workplace for all. This chapter has not only fortified my resolve but has also reinvigorated my purpose. The growth I have experienced through these challenges has equipped me with the resilience and compassion necessary to inspire and enact meaningful change. It's a testament to the idea that we are often at our best when we emerge from trials not with a sense of defeat, but with renewed strength and wisdom.
