I started here 29 years and 10 months ago, I met my future wife the next day. We designed websites for 14.4 modems, I designed stock charts and UI for the #1 personal finance site in the world, the guys sitting next to me who swore (a lot) created the Xbox, people left to go sell books (AMZN) and create an auction site (EBAY) on the internet. I worked in advertising, we fought against competitors, the government fought us, we fought ourselves, I worked on acquisitions, and built reporting that changed an entire organization with transparency and created a whole new category of advertising. I helped make web analytics a reality for an industry, I studied habits and users and built models and forecasts that were right, I have worked with amazing people on earnings and CEO scripts for a decade. I travelled to Europe often and met incredible people and experienced cultures that we return to with our family. I ran Windows analytics and fell in love with finding anti-patterns and created a whole new category of competitive insights and now continue with a little bit of all of this as we figure out the impact of AI on the world. I worked for amazing people and learned how to care for people and discovered the growth mindset. Luckily, 10 years ago, our culture met an authentic change agent named Satya Nadella. He changed how we talk and listen to each other and gave the quietest person in the room a voice. I cannot express how lucky I am to continue this work with a team I love like family and with selfless partners who bring passion every day. Listening to Build whilkst working. I love where AI is going, and the fact that we are talking about putting boundaries on its capabilities. We also need to think about the energy costs for running large scale AI servers and ensure we have used sustainable energy to support these important systems. Perhaps that is a problem for AI to consider.

What's the significance of incorporating human-like faces and voices into AI? Although AI surpasses us in speed and efficiency, the emotional connection is missing. This connection is crucial because, as Nobel Prize-winning psychologist Daniel Kahneman's study highlights, the 90% of financial decisions are driven by emotions rather than logic. Other sources say that 90–95% of decisions and behaviors are shaped by the emotional brain system without conscious awareness. While AI may appeal to our rational side, its ability to sway decisions is limited to around 10%. For example, would you buy a Nike shoe without its logo? Probably not, because beyond the quality, the emotional connection to the brand matters. #ux #psychology #ai #emotions #decisionmaking

Considering that this video was apparently made from one still photo and one voice recording it is incredible. Ultimately for me, it simple furthers my scepticism and mistrust about every bit of news and information I see - is it real or is it AI!
