This client experience will stay with me FOREVER: Two months ago, a marketing director asked for a quote after a discovery call. I sent it the same day. She mentioned she’d get back to me after reviewing a couple of other quotes from different suppliers. The week after, we had a follow-up call, and her main concern was budget. We had quoted double what the other two companies did. But instead of asking for a discount or saying we wouldn’t be working together, she did something remarkable: She asked me to walk her through the breakdown of my budget, explaining my thought process around the requirements, and the value each element brings to the project. It may not seem like much, but it meant a lot to me. At that moment, I felt respected. 9/10 of times on a similar scenario we'd hear one of the below 3 responses: 1. "We found someone who can do it for half the price." 2. "We don't need this <<item>>. Can you remove it from the quote?" 3. "......" (the usual ghosting) A lack of: - Respect - Curiosity - Connection Who knew that simply being human in the business world could make you memorable?

You OVERESTIMATE the power of video. If marketing is a band, video is the lead singer. But just because it’s the face, doesn’t mean it’s the ONLY reason for success. You create an amazing video, get millions of views... Yet you can still achieve nothing if you don’t have the right: → Target audience → CTA → Website experience → Product quality → Customer support → Upselling I’m not being negative. I know video can solve many problems. But we’re just one part of a bigger plan, we're standing on top of foundations. When everything is done right, like with the Kitt Medical launch last week, that’s when video truly works. Video is an amplifier. Do the right things first -> Then amplify.

At my video production company, we serve creatives. We don't serve neither ideas, nor clients. What does that mean? - If an idea is amazing but requires my creative team to do things they don't want to, we pass. - If a client has requirements that put at risk the passion and health of my creative team, we pass. On the other hand: - If a creative has a request that puts at risk a project in any way: we stop, listen, and usually take action. It's a tradeoff. We've lost projects because of it, and have been laughed at not following the 'client first' agency model anymore. I build Storyflow with a clear mindset: "Serve creatives first, and they'll deliver for everyone else." I can't be more grateful to our clients who see the value in our structure and benefit from it. I want to pay you less because you love what you do. That's what every creative have heard multiple times in their lives. But it's not what they've been told, instead it was: - "Oh it'll be a really fun project." - "You will level up your portfolio with this one." - "The Director makes the next big blockbuster." - "It's for a big brand and will be distributed globally." - "The next one will be a commercial, and properly paid." Excuses. Excuses. Excuses. Taking advantage of someone's passion to undervalue them it's unethical. ESPECIALLY when they've proved themselves over and over again.
