🔍 Exploring the Crucial Differences Between Summative and Formative Assessments in Engineering Education 📚 Higher Colleges of Technology 🌟 The Power of Balance: Balancing Summative and Formative Assessments is key to fostering a robust learning environment. While Summative Assessments determine the overall achievement and proficiency, Formative Assessments act as the gears propelling students towards success. It's this symbiotic relationship that cultivates a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in engineering education. ✨ Impact on Engineering Education: By recognizing the unique roles of both assessment types, educators can craft a dynamic educational experience. Leveraging Formative Assessments to tailor teaching methodologies and using Summative Assessments to measure the comprehensive understanding of engineering principles, we empower students to thrive in a rapidly evolving field. #EngineeringEducation #AssessmentInLearning #FormativeAssessment #SummativeAssessment #ContinuousImprovement #LearningJourney

Story Time: Embracing Uncertainty in Electronics 🌟 Once upon a time, at work today, I found myself immersed in uncertainty while doing some calculations. It's a common feeling in the world of electronics—where theory only scratches the surface of what we truly need to understand. In my journey, I've discovered that practical implementation is where the real learning happens. It’s like peeling back the layers of an onion—each layer revealing new insights and deeper understanding. Currently, I’m deeply passionate about challenging my own knowledge. I often find myself explaining complex concepts to myself as if I were a 5-year-old. This approach ensures I grasp the fundamentals before delving into more intricate calculations. But here’s the twist: complex topics often tempt us to skim over the details. Yet, without a thorough understanding, applying that knowledge becomes a daunting task. The education system sometimes perpetuates this issue. In school, we often receive general overviews with the promise of deeper understanding in college. However, by the time we reach Master’s level, complex technical jargon and applications can overwhelm even the most seasoned learners. Then comes the workplace, where theory meets practice. It’s here that many realize their expertise in theory doesn’t always translate to a deep understanding of practical applications. This realization fuels my desire to write and share these thoughts. Together, we can build a strong technical foundation, regardless of our current knowledge or qualifications. 🚀 Join me on this journey of learning. Let’s dive deep, question everything, and build together. 💡📚 #learningwithlykha #electronics
