I have endured and overcome many of these struggles, which is why I decided to share my story through my book, “How To Breathe While Suffocating.” My hope is that others can read it, feel less alone in their own journey, and find the motivation to keep moving forward. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned valuable tools that have helped me overcome these challenges—simple practices like breathing exercises, meditation, proper eating habits, exercise, and sharing my experience with others. We can’t keep what we have unless we give it away. I wrote my book to help people feel more motivated in their own journeys and to show them how to seize the opportunities they face every day. I try my best to lead by example and strive to be the very best version of myself—not just for me, but for other people. For me, moving forward means meditating, taking nature walks, spending quality time with my loved ones, and taking breaks to recharge. Recharging looks different for everyone, but for me, it means being creative, painting, singing, creating content (whether I post it or not). All of it is okay as long as I am putting myself first. As my father says his three dos…I pass this on to you. Do your best. Do no harm. And do for yourself every day, so you can do for others. The reality of social anxiety, fearing people. wanting to be invisible. I have been going to the same yoga class for about 2 years, today for the first time I actually had the courage to speak to the instructor. It was just a simple "thank you' at the end of the class but for me it's progress. I have spoken to 150 judges in a lecturer theatre, I have spoken at an assembly for 300 year 7's. I do YouTube videos and podcasts all with great success but social situations, small talk or chit chat and I struggle (more than struggle). My point is. *Everyone who faces a challenge has to do so at their own pace. *Everyone progresses at different rates. *What 1 person finds easy another person may find hard and another person may find petrifying and another person may enjoy. *Don't assume you know what another person is experiencing just ask. I am sure some people think I am rude and ignorant. *When encouraging people to reach out for support or a chat, some people won't no matter what. Sometimes you may need to reach in. For the record I go to yoga in an attempt to be good to my body and accept it rather than hate it and dissociate from it as a consequence of being sexually abused and raped as a child, I want to learn exercise is about taking care of the body ( and it some point hopefully enjoyable) and not punishing it through over exercise, and exercise addiction. #livedexperience
