We were hiring video editors but this happened! Recently, me and my friend Himanshu gupta were looking for video editor. We thought that we would get chance to Collab with the best talents. For us, your effort matters the most. Fast forwarding, many of the editors were not having advance portfolio, but still they had that fire within them, and we can sense it very well. But when we asked them to submit one sample edit, most of them drop-off. Only 2-3 were selected and are kept in our priority list for future projects. So, I want all the editors to join me in this journey and create a community where we have the opportunity to learn new things. Major objective is to exchange or share project with each other. Above that, every week I'll upload premium content for our Editors. Since we are starting mass outreach to new clients, there is a high chance that we need editors. You could be the one. This is an interesting one. 🧐 This person is trying to be a freelance Producer while admittedly having "a full-time staff cinematographer position"! 😂🤣🤦♂️ And then the Prescription is supposed to be to hire AN ASSISTANT EDITOR instead of AN ACTUAL EDITOR! 😂☠️ You. Have. A. Job. You do not have time to play Production Company. 🤷♂️ What you're supposed to do is FIND SOMEBODY who's as good as you are or better and make a deal with that person where you're paying them less than your client is paying you = margin. People want to find ways to do what they can't do. "I've got a feel for pacing & style that my clients like and I'm afraid that handing work off to someone else means not getting the same production value I would put into it" hahaha 😂 PLEASE! 🤣 If that were the case, you wouldn't have a full-time job pointing cameras at people! 😂 Someone would have actually hired you TO EDIT!!! ☠️⚰️👻 Except they didn't So stop playing Production Company, make a connection with an actual video editor 🧙♂️, do your point-the-camera job, and earn money via MARGIN off of the work you subcontract to the real editor. #WhereDoTheyGetThesePeople? #FirstWorldProblems
