Moving houses? Throw kids into the equation and it's a whole new level of challenge! But don't worry, as a parent and a seasoned pro in the moving scene, I've got some hacks to make things smoother: 📦 Start earlier than you think you need to. Trust me, those little unexpected moments will pop up! 👶 If there's a need to attend appointments or you just need some focused packing time, consider hiring a babysitter. It's a game-changer. 👧👦 Get the kiddos involved! Equip them with age-appropriate tasks. They might just surprise you with how helpful they can be. 🍔 Between packing, moving, and unpacking, sometimes cooking is the last thing on your mind. Budget for some takeout nights. 📸 Snap some pics of your old home. It's a sweet way to reminisce and to reassure your little ones that the new place will be filled with just as many special memories. Bookmark this or share with someone who's on the move. Wishing you a seamless transition! #ArlingtonHeightsHomes #ArlingtonHeightsRealEstate #ArlingtonHeightsLiving #ArlingtonHeightsProperties #ArlingtonHeightsRealtor #ArlingtonHeightsLife #ArlingtonHeightsHomebuying #ArlingtonHeightsHouseHunting

If you're hiring a nanny, you want to be sure that they are suitable to work around your child/children. Logically, this would involve carrying out a DBS Check. As working with children usually requires an Enhanced DBS Check, you might assume it's a simple process of applying for one. However, if you are entering into a private arrangement with a nanny, things get a little more complicated. We break down everything you need to know in the guide below 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eEFCi2ih

It's key to know what you want before applying for a job, because you cannot find what you want unless you know what you want... So many candidates don't know what they want and apply for everything (part time, full time, babies, toddlers, school aged children, live-in, live-out, local jobs, overseas jobs etc...) and do not understand why their applications are unsuccessful... It's not possible that everything is a good fit, and you can't be ok with everything. So before applying for your next nanny position, you need to know what is your ideal job. You need to know if you want to work part-time or full time? Do you want a Monday to Friday job or are you happy to work weekends? Do you want to work with babies? toddlers? school aged children? Do you want to commute daily? Do you prefer a Live-in position? Are you happy to relocate in the country or overseas? etc etc... It's perfectly fine to be selective, so take the time to figure out what you are looking for, narrow down what you are looking for and only apply for jobs that match exactly what you're looking for so that you have a higher chance for success!

Weekend thought/advice needed. As much as I love my job, my priority will always be first to my wife and to my family. For those that are also paycheck to paycheck, how are you making and prioritizing date night? It is sad how mentally taxing it is to get a babysitter, go get dinner, and watch a movie together. $80 Babysitter - (5 hours for 8$ an hour per (2) kid) $26 Movie -13$ per ticket $12 Bucket of popcorn and a drink $35 Dinner $153 for a simple date is tough. Obviously there are cheaper and basically free date nights, but even those still require payments to a babysitter. It's a lot harder than I'd like to. I'd love more ideas, but even hiring high school kids for babysitting hasn't been easy to find someone cheap and good/trustworthy. Cuz the cheapest ones we've hired have had issues.

There are many reasons why a nanny chooses to terminate a relationship with their employers. If you are aware of the reasons, it may be easier to avoid them and help lengthen and strengthen your relationship with your nanny.

Daily Tip: The more flexibility needed in a nanny’s schedule, the higher their pay is. If a family needs care on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday one week and Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday the next week or a family needs 8 hours a day sometimes starting at 7 AM, sometimes starting at 10 AM, or sometimes starting at 2 PM, that means the nanny can’t make any long term plans or commitments. They can’t take a class, get a regular babysitting gig, or even make a doctor’s appointment without the real possibility their family will need them and they won’t be available. Something neither side wants. So to make a flexible schedule workable for a nanny, they need to be paid a higher hourly rate that reflects their overall flexibility, an on call rate to reserve their availability, or enough notice of their schedule to allow them to make plans and maintain a healthy work / life balance. The exact dollar amount or notice period needed will be different from nanny to nanny so it’s key to talk scheduling and pay in detail before making a hiring / job decision. #nanny #nannyemployer #nannyschedule #AtoZNannyContract
