In today's workforce ecosystem, client-facing employees in nonprofit workforce development organizations work tirelessly to help jobseekers access quality jobs. BUT! They often lack quality jobs themselves, facing high caseloads, long hours, and frequent burnout and turnover. At JFF, we're tackling this job quality paradox head-on.🔍 Our latest blog delves into this issue and emphasizes the importance of worker-led participatory research. When workers are empowered to lead the research, their firsthand experiences drive actionable insights, ensuring policies and programs truly meet their needs. 📊✨ Thank you to ReWork the Bay for funding this work, and to Turning Basin Labs and Path Group for partnering with us. Shout out to the 8 nonprofit organizations from across California who are participating in this project: Building Skills Partnership, Canal Alliance, Central Valley Workers Center, Creating Restorative Opportunities and Programs (CROP Organization), First Place for Youth, The Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program (FFRP), Latino Service Providers Sonoma County, and Neighborhood Industries. 🌟 Dive into our insights and join the conversation on creating a future where every worker thrives. This is a great initiative. When available jobs <> good jobs, it’s an issue. Too often, these jobs are working closest to the most under-resourced populations (elderly, low-income, and BIPOC communities). This country has the resources to help uplift people in careers and dignified service to those who need it most.

This is so important - thank you for this critical work and message!
