The Big Shot Podcast, co-hosted by Shopify president Harley Finkelstein, shot a live taping at Startupfest in Montreal. The podcast focuses on Jewish entrepreneurs, not about Israel. That didn't stop someone from protesting it. https://lnkd.in/dwgQRkmy

Empowering agency founders break free from the cycle of long hours and low profits so they can double their revenue without sacrificing their weekend– CMO, Business, Performance, & Mindset Coach.
Last night, I watched Guillaume Moubeche share his most valuable tips on how to build an audience and turn it into paying customers (with warm outreach) from the stage of the Lemlist HQ. It was so value-packed that my head is still spinning. (Read on to see how you might be able to get a replay.) On top of that, I was very lucky to talk to some top-notch business and sales people. Here’s what I learned from them: “Pain points are OK, but focus on one single problem in your niche... And also, I sound like an Australian.” _ Tal Baker-Phillips Thank you, Tal, for the superb Notion bonus and the good vibes. I really appreciate it. “Just ask. You’ll be surprised how many people will be willing to share their best tips on your podcast.” _ Florent Bonnefont Thanks, Florent. It’s the second time you have generously let me shamelessly pick your brain, and your tips are beyond valuable. I’m so happy to see flomodia succeed, and I feel immensely grateful that it made this event possible. “Go for it. Grow your business in English (I’m in France). Write content that shows your expertise and helps your target audience this way...” _ Guillaume Moubeche Guillaume understood my topic and value proposition in a flash. He was gracious enough to show me a profile I could model and get inspiration from. So thank you, Guillaume. You’ve been a light on my entrepreneurial journey. And, thank you for sharing your best tips so generously yesterday. I'm going to need them. Additionally, I met some really cool entrepreneurs with exciting projects. I look forward to watching them grow. Now, if you want to watch the replay and didn’t register for the live event..., you’ll have to beg Maxim Poulsen to get access to it. I’m not sure whether he can do it, but since the event was broadcast via his awesome app Contrast, it doesn’t hurt to ask. And, if that’s not possible, you’ll just have to follow Guillaume and wait for his next event or check out the Lemlist blog and YouTube channel.

The difference between an audience and a community is key: An audience consumes. They view, the read, they watch. A community consumes AND engages. They view, read, watch AND converse back. A community is a two way interaction. You've heard MANY times right here on Dear FoundHer... the stories of founders who have utilized their communities FIRST to build their businesses. Last week you heard Jamie Mittleman, Founder of Flame Bearers talk about how she focused on community first and THEN revenue. Earlier this summer you heard Pam Sunshine and Jenn Sherman of @sunnyandjenn discuss how they cultivated their community before they ever took a partnership or even shared an affiliate link. You recently heard our rerun with Dr. Becky Kennedy of Good Inside, where she talked about building her brand by doing what? Showing up and sharing with her COMMUNITY. And MANY times you've heard me share how building the community at my first business Bump Club and Beyond, and now my second, @dearfoundher, is the foundation for success when building my brands. You also hear me discuss how now I work with my clients to do the same. Well, today on @dearfoundher, you're going to hear me SPILL everything about how to utilize and monetize your community for actual REVENUE and bottom line growth. Are you tuning in? I hope to see you there. You can listen wherever you podcast or right here: https://lnkd.in/g8qHGHv9 Thank you for listening, thank you for being here, Lindsay Pinchuk, Founder + Host of @dearfoundher #buildyourcommunity #marketingtips #smallbusinessmarketing #marketingmaesimple #marketing101 #femalefounders #podcastforentrepreneurs #podcastforbusinessowners

Advice on how to deal with failure as a founder from our Cold Tea Collective event at Vancouver Startup Week last week: “Being authentic is a superpower, especially as a leader,” said Wilson Lee, as he shared how this has led him to being honest with himself and others to more quickly move on from failures or redirections in business. “Be kind. I wish I was kinder to myself so that I could enjoy and appreciate my hard work and accomplishments rather than comparing myself to others,” said Mehrsa Raeiszadeh, who comes from a family of top Physicians and scientists who she often compared herself to. “Find strength in community,” said Leon Ng. Having the support of other founders has been instrumental in his founder journey. "If it weren’t for failure, I wouldn’t have started Cold Tea Collective. The advice I try to remind myself of now is, “it’s not that serious," shared Cold Tea Collective founder Natasha Jung. See more highlights from our event at link below and learn more about our plans for our new series on #AsianFails.
