On this World Lung Cancer Day, we’re filled with hope for the future. Thanks to advancements in research, screening, and treatment, lung cancer death rates are declining faster than any other cancer type in Canada. More people living longer with and beyond cancer is a great thing, and it presents a new opportunity to support survivors as they navigate challenges. With the aim to address some of these challenges, we recently released a new survivorship resource: https://lnkd.in/eGBdMpKT Statistics source: Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Cancer Statistics 2023 #WorldLungCancerDay

Today, we come together to raise awareness about lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. This year, we’re focusing on the power of unity in the fight against lung cancer through early screening. Lung cancer screening is recommended for certain people who smoke or used to smoke. Detecting lung cancer early increases both the chance of survival and the number of treatment options available to patients. Talk to your doctor about screening options. Learn more about the American Cancer Society lung cancer screening guidelines here: https://bit.ly/3StHHEv By promoting yearly screening, we can make a significant impact. Every step we take together helps create a future where lung cancer is no longer a leading cause of death. #WLCD24 #WorldLungCancerDay #LungCancerAwareness #LungCancerScreening #EarlyDetectionMatters
