🙏 The Truth About Praying for Miracles ??? We often find ourselves praying for miracles, hoping for that divine intervention to change our lives. But here's the thing—miracles aren't something you can just package up and receive because you asked. Not everyone who prays for a miracle gets one. Why? The answer lies in what’s happening within us—in our hearts and souls. Sometimes, we're torn between what we truly want and what we know is right. That inner conflict, that back-and-forth, can keep us from fully embracing the good that God wants for us. Christianity isn’t just about asking for miracles—it’s about embracing a value system that has transformed the world. It’s about committing to the path of light, even when it's hard, and trusting that God’s plan is greater than our own. "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." – James 1:6 🌊 #FaithOverFear #PrayWithPurpose #ChristianValues #TrustGodsPlan #InnerStrength #christianwife #addictswife #Alanon #alanonrecovery #codependentnomore #codependencyrecovery #alanonwife #wifeofanalcoholic #wedorecover #setboundariesforyourself #boundaries #healthyboundaries #recoverycoach #addictionrecovery #couragetochange #addictionsucks

Blessed Journey: Walk Through The Beatitudes Day 5: Blessed Are the Merciful How does showing mercy to others reflect God’s love, and how does it lead to receiving mercy? Matthew 5:7 - "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Mercy is a cornerstone of Christian living. It involves showing compassion and forgiveness to others, reflecting the boundless love and grace that God shows us. When we extend mercy, we not only help others but also align ourselves with God's heart, positioning ourselves to receive His mercy in return. Consider the story of Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch Christian who, along with her family, helped Jews escape the Nazis during World War II. After the war, Corrie traveled the world sharing her story and the message of forgiveness. One day, she encountered a former Nazi guard who had been at the concentration camp where her sister had died. He asked for her forgiveness. Despite the pain and memories, Corrie chose to forgive him. In doing so, she experienced a profound sense of God's mercy and healing in her own life. Corrie ten Boom’s story is a powerful example of the transformative power of mercy. Her willingness to forgive a former enemy not only freed her from the burden of bitterness but also demonstrated the depth of God’s love and forgiveness. When we show mercy, we break the chains of resentment and open ourselves to the healing and freedom that God offers. In our daily lives, we encounter countless opportunities to show mercy—whether it’s forgiving someone who has wronged us, helping those in need, or showing kindness to strangers. Each act of mercy is a step closer to living out the Beatitude and experiencing God’s grace in our own lives. Let us strive to be merciful, knowing that as we extend compassion and forgiveness to others, we mirror the heart of God and receive His abundant mercy in return. #UnhinderedFaith #BlessedJourney #Beatitudes #Merciful #ShowMercy #Faith #Forgiveness #UnhinderedFaiths #MotivationalMonday #CorrieTenBoom #Inspiration #SpiritualGrowth #ChristianLiving #GodsLove #FaithJourney #GodsPromises

For just a moment, think of what will matter one minute (or even one second) after any one of us dies. As believers, we will go immediately and directly to Heaven. Remember, Heaven is bacteria-free, terrorist-free, accident-free, anxiety-free, and evil-free. The admission is also free, but the only treasures we will have in Heaven are the ones we sent ahead. Christ assures us we can’t buy anything there. All wealth in Heaven is pre-paid wealth. All that will be there waiting for us is that which was sent ahead at a significant cost to us, the sender. How do we measure what counts in Heaven and what doesn’t? How do we know what to send ahead? One sobering warning about Heaven is from Pastor Jan David Hettinga in his 1996 book entitled Follow Me. He lists three terrible dangers that can rob anyone of finishing well and earning Christ's well done. These three areas should concern all of us who seek Christ's full rewards in Heaven. He says: 1. Beware of the sins of old age: lust for comfort and convenience, greed for recognition, and covetousness for security. The sins of old age can erase Christ's well-done. Remember Solomon. 2. Beware of the problem of "Exceptionism", which makes me think my life is an exception to God’s Word. Thus I can excuse myself from doing anything for Heaven because of my past, or my pain, or my poverty, or my poor self-image. The problem of "Exceptionism" can erase Christ's well done. Remember Ananias and Saphira. 3. Beware of the unmortified pockets of pride. Allowing these pockets to grow and not be dealt with can make me proud of my intellect, achievements, giftedness, or goodness. Pockets of pride in my life can erase Christ's well-done. Remember Lot. Listen carefully with me to Jesus to avoid these dangers and help us prepare for Christ's well done in Heaven. He maps out a life that will win His well done. Lesson one, is there only one thing you want to hear one second after you die? Have you started to dream about winning the ultimate prize, which is hearing Christ's words, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of your Master’s Home!” Matthew 25:14-30. Jesus asks us to DREAM ABOUT WINNING THE ULTIMATE PRIZE! “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” (FHA-87A; 011104AM) Join the LAND OF THE BOOK channel to access weekly video releases over the next year totaling 50+ EXCLUSIVE VIDEOS featuring weekly in-depth Bible Study lessons with John & Bonnie: https://lnkd.in/eZYju7d

Rapport is more than relationships Ephesians 6:12 offers a crucial reminder for believers: our battles are not merely against visible adversaries but against spiritual forces in the heavenly realms. This insight is fundamental in understanding the nature of the challenges we face as Christians. Satan, using deception as his primary tool, attempts to distort our perception of truth, leading us into sin and weakening our faith. Recognizing this tactic is the first step in mounting a defense that relies on God's word and His promises. By donning the full armor of God, we prepare ourselves not only to resist temptation but to also stand firm against the manipulation of truths about God, ourselves, and the world around us. Let’s commit to a deeper reliance on spiritual discernment and the strength provided through our faith, ensuring we can overcome the enemy and emerge victorious. #SpiritualWarfare #Ephesians612 #ArmorOfGod #OvercomeEvil #FaithStrong
