These are a few of my favorite things. When the car spins When the engine blows When the lead is lost... I simply remember my favorite things And then I don't feel so bad.

Feedback! The most important part of a development process! As industrial designers, solving problems is at the core of what we do. This takes repeated loops of building, testing, gaining feedback, uncovering insights and developing new features, products and experiences to test. We understand this itteration process deeply. But it’s not just designers that learn from feedback. We all should. It gives me immense pleasure and sense of pride to see my sister Emma Duch - head of hospitality at McLaren Racing standing alongside CEO Zak Brown, explaining how they use feedback from Medallia to improve their cars as well as their visitor and hospitality experiences. Part of the challenge of looking at any dataset is trying to come up with a unique perspective. I looked at how often Max Verstappen uses both his brake and gas pedals at the same time. For the most part, he is on either one or the other. Logan Sargeant, on the other hand, shows significant stretches where he applies both gas and brake. Does this hurt his lap times? Probably. Some tests I'd like to do with Logan Sargeant. No more 2nd gear, wait just a touch longer before braking, avoid taking the engine over 12,000 RPM, and no more brake/gar applications. If the data is right, he picks up 100ms per corner. He's still slow, but it's a lot closer. He's not placing 20th. He's placing 9th or 10th. For the engineers at Williams Racing, the gear ratio on the 8th gear seems too high. Better data yields better questions and more insightful observations. i doubt that McLaren Racing and Zak Brown will listen to some schmo on LinkedIn, but I'm going to do the same analysis for Lando and Piastri after Miami. I wonder how McLaren will compare with Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology and Scuderia Ferrari. I'll also check Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. This next race should be super competitive.
