To celebrate NAIDOC Week, our team members operated a return flight from the Gold Coast to Cairns which was fully crewed by First Nations pilots and cabin crew. Captain James Knagge, First Officer Brett Butler, Cabin Manager Lisa Goolagong and crew Karlene Eaton, Nicole Croke and Taylor Rotumah took part. It’s hoped this special flight will encourage other First Nations people to consider a career in aviation. In Captain Knagge’s words: “If we can all be here, so can you.” At Jetstar, we’re committed to attracting, developing, and retaining First Nations team members. Absolutely inspiring to see Jetstar leading the way with this initiative! Celebrating NAIDOC Week by operating a flight fully staffed by First Nations pilots and cabin crew is not only honourable but also empowering. Congratulations to Captain James Knagge, First Officer Brett Butler, Cabin Manager Lisa Goolagong, and the entire crew on your leadership and commitment. Proud to support Jetstar's dedication to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
