In what's starting to feel like a week full of posts promoting the #value of #investing in #women (and what's wrong with that?), I recently came across this article in Fast Company by Kay Koplovitz which does a tremendous job articulating what women bring to the table, and the stats are impressive. >> Consider this: ⦿ Research from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) suggests women generate 78% more revenue per invested dollar of #capital than their male counterparts. ⦿ When a woman is on the investing team, a #female #entrepreneur is 70% more likely to be #funded than if there are no women on the team. ⦿ VC firms with at least 10% female investing partners have 1.5% better fund #returns and 9.7% more profitable #exits. I've often said that my support for women in this space stems from my deep abhorrence of seeing any capable person prevented from achieving their full potential, and with clear data like the information highlighted above, hopefully it should come as a no-brainer why it makes sense to support everyone's full participation in the #startup and #innovation ecosystems.
