Morning All 🌅. This was an enjoyable exercise, comparing differences in job flow/recruitment (occupation categories) between May 23 & Dec 23 here, at Joblin Partners. An interesting comparison to say the least.. A strong shift/demand across Tech Services (and Engineering), Maintenance and Management positions overall. This does include positions at Senior, Lead, Principal and Superintendent level 👷♂️ 👷♀️. I'm seeing commodity prices fluctuate and inflation is still not under control 📉. There seems to be a key focus on refinement, planning, forecasting, data analytics, automation and continuous improvement to bring the ongoing costs of operations and projects down, to improve/better margin, profit and overall efficiencies. What is your take/opinion (if any)? I'm curious 🤔

The job hunt: For me personally, it's going! I've had some great conversations with folks from across the Renewable sector. But, these things take some time! For those similarly on the hunt, don't be discouraged! The right role at the right company will come when it's meant to. Don't settle for something because you're getting antsy. There seems to be a reckoning in certain tech companies due to some over hiring during COVID, but the economy as a whole is very strong and companies are trying to to hire, especially in renewables. You'll land somewhere. Be patient! Update your resume and LinkedIn profile (and grow your network!), apply for jobs, connect with recruiters, network with former co-workers/customers/vendors/etc., and take interviews. But also, focus on yourself. Read those books you've been putting off, work out, see a movie, catch up on that show, do that project you've been putting off. Take care of your mental and physical health so you're prepared when the right role at the right company does come up! And reach out if you're not doing well! To your friends, family, or me. Dear Hiring Team, I admit my resume was not strong, for me to aggresively demand a higher position job. However, I would like to generally emphasize that, what you will see in my resume was my past that I had a difficulty to maintain my job due to family issue and I thought it would become better. However, as time goes by, at last the issue was solved as we got separated. Thus, I am not applying some highly position as I graduated long time ago in 2015. So, I realized that good for me to start all over again and grow from the bottom line. I promise that I will show the best of me for the company, and as I want to become somebody my children proud of as they grow bigger. Thus, I put my hope really high for any better position.
